I mentioned to girls that I'm a middle eastern refugee
Stop mentioning something so deep/personal so early. Leave that for actual GFs and long-term GFs. Just messing around with girls you gotta keep it light and fun. Some topics are too heavy, your past is one of those heavy topics. Leave that for later.

I've been on a bunch of first dates recently after two back to back long term relationships.
I'm an open, honest guy but it's clearly best to show them that over time, slowly, instead of just walloping certain facts about yourself that can be a lot to process for someone just getting to know you. It fucking sucks, but it's best to keep an air of mystery around the deeper parts of yourself until that initial trust is there.

whenever I mentioned to girls that I'm a middle eastern refugee, they seemed to get shocked and started treating me differently in a non romantic way
So... you're doing something which produces a negative result, and you're asking whether you should keep doing it? From a 'seduction' point of view, NO. From a morality point of view, only you can answer how many things you want to hide and be okay with...
Remember, from a seduction point of view, everything you say and do should be done with a specific intent. You are trying to build comfort, trying to build attraction, trying to demonstrate confidence, humor, and higher value. From this frame or lens, how does your refuge story accomplish these goals?
You can always open up about your past after you sleep with her. Whatever real or perceived negative associations girls have with being a refuge (or anything else) will be reduced or eliminated by something called 'cognitive dissonance'.
Finally, being a refuge seems to be an important topic for you, i.e. you are defining yourself and/or labeling yourself by what has occurred to you in the past.. consider that other people might not care or be that interested in that.. but by you bringing it up, you may be elevating its importance and girls become more concerned about it.. perhaps you can define yourself by your unique knowledge and skills, by your charm, intelligence, confidence, long term goals, etc..

If you go for sjw leftist type girls, that’s exactly how they will treat you.
You can stop it from happening by choosing your friends wisely.
Personally, I would tell them, and use it as a screening process, if they start treating you like their precious little pet……NEXT!

So, letting them know reveals to you who they are. Would you rather find out sooner or later ?

I’m 45. What’s your point?

There is nothing wrong but there is always ignorant people who would judge you before getting to know you .
Probably would be better to open about it after they get to know better ?
Also depends where you live , different countries has different mentality regarding that .
I live in a city that has pretty a lot of refuges , have friends who are and I’m an immigrant.

Nah not in a racist way or anything but many are rude/violent/hate women
I think unfortunately mixed in with refugees you get many criminals, like in syria maybe they committed a crime that would get death so they flee
[–]CrabBucketSecurity 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It’s true that a lot of criminals sneaked in during the crisis. As well as some terrorists. Seems like it’s a difficult conversation to have though.

I live in the UK and we have very lenient courts. So if a Pakistani would be sentenced to death back home we're legally not allowed to send them back because of human rights. This obviously makes us very attractive to criminals trying to not, ya know... Die

I wouldn’t take it personal. It could just be that it isn’t a sexy topic of conversation.

I saw that you mentioned Ben Shapiro. In case some of you don't know, Ben Shapiro is a grifter and a hack. If you find anything he's said compelling, you should keep in mind he also says things like this:
If you wear your pants below your butt, don't bend the brim of your cap, and have an EBT card, 0% chance you will ever be a success in life.

An excerpt from True Allegiance, by Ben Shapiro:
Brett didn’t care about that. He turned, irked—and found himself face-to-face with a beautiful young woman, about seventeen, staring aggressively at him.

Soledad Ramirez knew the value of good press, and she baked mean chocolate chip cookies. “No oatmeal raisin here,” she said good-naturedly, handing out the meltingly hot treats to the men wearing full military gear and carrying M4s set to burst.

Hard truth: girls are heavily influenced by status and wealth. When they find out that you’re a refugee it tells them that you are of low status (right now) and likely not wealthy (right now). Thankfully you now live in a country with good opportunity to increase your status and wealth. Don’t worry about the girls and just focus on building yourself. If you do pursue girls then I’d suggest you don’t mention your status as a refugee, at least until you establish yourself and your career.
