You actually have the right idea, just give up. Stop searching. Stop trying. You're absolutely right.

What do you like to do? What are you good at? Go do that and other things that make you feel good and confident. Work on developing those skills and hobbies.

It's going to have to be a two way street, not you doing everything and anything for her. Make her work for and vie for your attention. You've been alive for X amount of years becoming you, if you like you, then why shouldn't others? I've made that same mistake too and it's bit me in the ass. Just stop trying. Be you, work on you and liking and loving you and the right person will come. Look into stoic philosophy too.

Focus on yourself. Be better than yesterday. Try to build a great life style for you. And eventually girls will come. But you do have to do some leg work, like meeting friends in groups, going out, joining classes such as dancing class, painting class anything you like to do. You might find girls who are interested in those activities and then it will go smooth.

You should take one week out of each month where you take a complete break from the pursuit of women and put full focus on building up your value as a man through passions and purpose (which will ultimately make you more attractive than cold approach and pick up lines will )
