You're shooting too low. Aim for women that you're actually attracted to instead of settling for the ones that you think you can get without much of a challenge.

Your problem is common with guys who are going for the low hanging fruit because you're actually afraid of getting rejected by the women that are actually attractive to you.

Hmmm, you should maybe find out if its a fetish or low self esteem before you get together with someone. If it is a fetish, that is probably fine, that can be communicated to other people, but if its low self esteem than that is something to work on for you.

You may have an avoidant attachment style. Do you subconsciously fear abandonment and keep people at arms length? Is it likely that if she started showing no interest in you again, you’d start chasing her again/liking her?

Maybe this is about something to do with your childhood - usually the things that happen (no matter how big or small) when we’re a child or a teen can affect us subconsciously in adult life (assuming you’re over 18 now). Could be a self esteem issue like someone else suggested. Could be that you’re punishing yourself for something so you pull away from these women. Or they just genuinely don’t tickle your fancy.

Do you like yourself? Do you feel more validation from someone who responds to your advances, than someone who picks you? Are you always yourself or do you behave differently in front of different people?

This explains me so well.

All the relationships in my life have been superficial because of this.

Got 5 close friends from grade school but that’s about it. I’ll hangout with a girl once, (rarely twice), we’ll have a nice date, and then I’ll stop talking to her when she shows interest. I have 15 bodies but never had a girlfriend. I’ve officially shot down the idea that I’m going to be with somebody. I don’t even entertain it.

The funny thing is everyone thinks I’m a “player” but I live alone and don’t talk to anybody. I wake up, go to work, come home, and play video games or scroll on Reddit. No ones know this side of me.
