I'm sorry, but I think it is something that only Females can get away with. I know that if a guy who I barely knew but was facebook friends with me sent me that I wouldn't reply. You could do something like that to people you were once close friends with though!

This is only something females can get away with, I promise you. Even simply telling a woman "I'm bored" is a statement that kills attraction subconsciously for most women.

The tips you find here sometimes feel like a superficial game, but remember that you apply them like a framework around building real relationships. There are unfortunately many ingrained habits and prejudices that girls & guys have in dating, and if you're aware of those and adapt your behavior to them, you will simply get much better results. The facebook game thread specifically is simply about maximizing your chances to get a girl's number. Once you have it, you move forward normally from there.

I feel that text speak is a huge DLV, unless the girl loves it. As for this sending messages to friends of friends thing, why should you need to? If you're a PUA, you should always have new girls to talk to, and not need facebook to begin with (unless using it as a tool like in the facebook game thread)

Go out, face to face interaction beats all other interaction.
