I don't pay much attention to any guys, I just go for the girl I want and isolate quite fast if she seems receptive. I see no point in getting into a game of one upmanship with another man when I'm trying to pull a girl in a club.

A neat little trick my wing and I like to do is: If my wing is one on one with a girl, chatting away, doing his thing and a guy approaches and tries to do his spiel. Ill come in and address my wing (in a friendly manor) and say, “he didn’t get the txt message” or memo or whatever, as long as it’s in context. Ill say this loud enough so everyone in the group can hear. My wing will laugh loudly and make it seem as if the joke was hilarious. This will make him feel awkward and the social pressure will usually be too much.

Kill me with sympathy- I've only ran into this a few times but it works like a charm. These guys are the ones who isolate and ask permission. "Hey man I like her, can you help me out? or at least not shit on me in front of her?" Anytime this happens it makes me feel like King Shit of the turd pile, and from then on I do my best to make that humble dude look like Big Dick Daddy the rest of the night.

Might work on you, but I figure that it will have the exact opposite effect for most other bros out there.

I'm going to try and break these down into ways you can get away with them.

Kill me with kindness- These guys go out of their way to compliment, supplicate, and be agreeable. They laugh and amplify when you give them shit, and it usually defuses me if it appears empathetic. These guys usually had big brothers growing up and know how to avoid confrontation without pussing out.

This is a fight fire with fire situation. I had a guy try and bag the girl I was with that night and I got real deep with him and chatted like old friends until he got frusterated and bailed. He didn't like that I treated him that way and was hugging on my girl as if he didn't matter.

Kill me with mockery- These guys try and get me to qualify, and love saying stuff like, "Did ya?" "Oh really?" and "Bullshit," When I'm trying to demonstrate value. "You're just too cool," is my least favorite of these to hear. This works when there is an audience and is most effective if they start out seeming genuine but turn the mockery up as the conversation progresses.

This one is easy. Agree and amplify.

I know right :P Quickly change subject or ask them to do a task for you

If they then say I was making fun of you or something like that you can always build on it.

Oh is that what you were doing? Try better next time. BIG GRIN and then keep doing whatever you want.

In this case don't accept the false flattery and ego trip. You have your own ego you don't need to buy into someone's fake bullshit. Brush them off and do your own thing. He can get his own pussy.

Kill me with logistics- These guys love to say, "Let's get out of here," and get the lady away from me or at least try and frame it like I'm the tag-a-long that's ruining their fun. This works if the girl is already bought in to him, but fails miserably when he's misjudged how attracted she is to him.

Be witty or strong willed and remain with frame that she is in your world and that he is intruding. In this case you can do things like hey we don't need a tag a long or I don't think this is where you parked your gf. Or a straight up no and then you direct her to come with you somewhere. Be the stronger willed. Violence or anger will never win however.

Kill me with wit- These guys own their words and aren't afraid to get punched in the mouth. They know that if you do resort to violence that they've won because they made you look like "that guy."

Kill me- Some guys just really want to fight. If you're going to go this route then you better hit first and hit quick, because if you just puff up like most party/bar fights start than you're going to get balled up. One time this dude that I had 5 inches and 40 pounds on absolutely destroyed me. I squared up to the little guy, and before I'd even thought about doing the ceremonial chest bump, that Chun Li looking bastard judo chopped my throat and then kneed me in the groin. I couldn't breath and was on the ground, that kid kicked me in the stomach for good measure then took off like a banshee. Fight then flight worked real well for him. Remember, if you're not getting paid, then it shouldn't be a fair fight.

The people who want to fight? Just got to avoid them. If they are in your face don't act affraid. I never freak out when a huge guy is in my face. I tend to take drinks of my drink with them that close showing them that I just don't give a fuck. Most guys at bars are smart enough not to fight in the bar. Also if they are going to blatantly try and fuck with you to hurt you then just report them or avoid them. I know who I am and I don't have to feel bad for reporting a dumbass that is bothering me and probably everyone else as well. I am out to have fun not try out my fighting ability. I wanna fight but hey the medical bills are high and recovery isn't a good time so opting to just have a good time and do it the easiest way possible is the way to go.

Summary - people are dumb. Just gotta fuck with them the right way to make their tactics seem childish. Honestly if you play them the same way to mock them and people catch on you can drop the act and leave them hanging. This may sound bad but it is hilarious to fuck with people that try that shit. I don't want beat down but I also enjoy being myself and not being manipulated into being someones puppet. Especially when I can read people and what they are trying to do.
