I'm from Germany, and I totally agree. The American game is tailored to work on... ya guessed it, American women. Of course there are some basic strategies or mindsets that work anywhere on this planet, but certain details differ quite a bit depending on where you are.

I have not read The Game, so I can't give you a list of things that do/don't work. However, if you understand German, there's a book I could recommend. It's written by Germany's most famous PUA and I'm currently in the process of reading it myself. It has already helped me a great deal, and I'm just half-way through.

I've run 'game' on the following nationalities and come away successful, Israeli, German, Swiss, Spanish and of course UK and US women.

Do UK and US women react better to the more formulaic approach some books put forth - yes of course they do. However the basic principles: confidence, wit, kino escalation will serve you well regardless.

I'm a fan of Rooshv and he pretty much is going country to country writing guides - check his forum out as well a lot of locals post stuff.

When I started out I noticed in my area(Glasgow) girls are not completely receptive to the game.

Girls in Glasgow are very sharp and honest and the ones that aren't THINK they are and can be quite cruel. So if you neg too hard they WILL bite back, hard.

But it's all because drunken guys in Glasgow can be very full on. So most girls have ultra bitch shields up.

It's still hard to game these girls at night, day game is far more flexible over here.

Well im from Turkey and im only reading about general stuff. Cultural background and family pressure is a big thing here. Try direct approach and you may get branded as a pervert and mobbed :p

I live in Amsterdam and I can attest to this slightly.

However, game with Dutch girls is notoriously uncomplicated, particularly compared to Spain. For practical purposes forget about club game in Spain.

Now, in more nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden) if you have any game at all you will find yourself ahead of the curve.

Amsterdam itself is however a terrible place for game! Ultra arrogant women in comparison to other Dutch cities, and too busy trying to be cool. On the other hand, if they are interested they make it very forward.

Where exactly are you gaming and what would you say is your style?

I've never really used anything I thought was cheesey - which seems to account for the majority of lines / techniques used in PUA material. Providing you understand the 'WHY' you can adjust accordingly and come up with material that is more culturally or geographically appropriate.

Can you give some examples why your region is different? You could throw some cultural references in an edit so you could get a more specific answer.

And what isn't working?

I sarged in Munich this spring and girls seemed fairly similar to American girls. And I don't even speak a word of German.

Me and my brother were both born and raised in Germany but are going to college in the US/UK. I haven't really figured out how to approach German women, it just seems so random. For example, I went to a club with a few friends and a girlfriend of mine explained that people just sorta bump into each other when they wanna get attention. There is no game involved whatsoever. Super boring. In terms of kino: touch 'em but don't caress 'em. It easily comes across as creepy if you keep stroking her back. But personally I just stay away from German women, even as native speaker. IMO it's just not worth the hassle since it takes a lot longer to pick them up than other nationalities and there's nothing playful about it.

Good game is good game. What you're asking about is mastering calibration and logistics. Learning to calibrate your approach based on all possible variables is one of the skills that will take you to a master level.

I highly recommend hanging around some of the more cosmopolitan places you can get to (for example, the bars near the hostels) and meet as many different nationalities as possible. Learn what makes them tick, crash and burn, and post the results for us to analyze and learn from!
