She might just be saying that for no particular reason. You should always have plans or a reason to get her number besides getting the number for the number’s sake.

I’d be unaffected by one comment if the vibe is otherwise really good. Just keep having fun in person and she will gravitate toward it.

Pursue her without chasing her.

When you pursue, you are remaining social but keeping your interest below hers. You can't show zero interest...just keep it 2 points less than hers to create uncertainty.

Once you become more interested in the girl than she is in you is when you create certainty and it becomes chasing.

First of all I’m just going to say that your in experience zone /danger zone and if you have to ask then you shouldn’t be doing it , by you asking us this question it already tells me you don’t have experience in this field you might have experience with women ,but your not good enough to be dating women at work , Dating women at work is like a drug dealer dating an enemies daughter , I would say if you don’t care about the job then find out what happens and at worse your learn something. I'm going to be honest I feel like half this advice here is either ridiculous alpha male bs like " ignore her and be mysterious" or just useless advice that doesn't actually answer what your asking.

The answer is so simple. Persue her if you think she's worth the trouble. Once it's clear she doesn't want you romantically or you decide its not worth the investment then u leave.

Ok now to what she said. Herand saying the number is just for work is not necessary her now showing interest. She might be trying to not seem easy or be reluctant to get into anything serious.

Also saying yall where flirting is so open ended. Id be better to have specifics as to what she and you said that constitutes flirting. If she was being very touching and laughing at ur bad jokes thats more likely romantic as apposed to if yall just spoke normally and you complimenting her.
