It's called "Approach anxiety." You are looking for any excuse not to approach.

There’s a fine line between approach anxiety and pickiness. Approach anxiety is when you create excuses not to approach someone, pickiness on the other hand, is when you never had the desire to approach them at all. I personally look for funny 9s and 10s, occasionally you’d see me hit on an 8 if she’s hilarious, but basic bitches turn me off.

As long as you're still approaching then it's fine. If you're walking around for 3 hours and did no approaches then it's not being picky it's just approach anxiety. If you see a girl and think "nah " and approach another girl you like afterwards you're good. Though sometimes I still aproach girls I don't don't really care just to keep that social flow going so when I see a girl I actually like I'm ready.

It could be approach anxiety, but not necessarily.

If you see a girl and you think "it's highly likely I won't like her", it's mostly based on prejudices, BUT these tend to be true in average. Since what we do is a numbers game, I think that going for your type will have higher average returns.

For example, I won't talk to a girl if she is wearing way too much makeup. I think she will be too superficial and I won't enjoy her conversation. I could be wrong in some cases, but it does make sense in average.

When I am out hustling, I approach everyone I see. Literally... if I see them and I am not preoccupied with something else (like if I'm not currently talking to someone else), I will approach the first person I see. Yes, this means both men, women, fat, short, tall, skinny, ugly, beautiful, stereotypical, white, brown, green. The reason why is because you will get stuck in a downward loop if you only approach people who meet all your check marks. You will start making excuses for yourself and you will also stifle your inner game by only choosing to approach people you deem "good enough" for you. It's actually arrogant to only approach people you're attracted to. Certainly approach the hot girl, but don't forget to be friendly and personable to everyone.

Approaching someone does not mean you have to fuck them. It simply means you want to talk to them, and as someone who strives to be a generally social man, I want to talk to everyone (or at least I try to want to).
