This turned out way longer than I anticipated, but here goes.

I recently came out of a long relationship and decided to check out one of the local bars where I was visiting just looking to chat it up with people (men and women). I had 4 ONS this year out of about 10 hookups. 40%ish. Two from OLD, two from cold approach at bars. Two of those turned into rotation chicks/repeats who I still see. One of those turned into a (semi 🤫) exclusive gf for a couple months, until I broke up with her cuz she was psycho (bitch still texts me trying to get back). Its not awesome once you find out what percentage of stds are asymptomatic.

Hate being that guy but once you get a few people that think they're good to go find out their positive for something before you're about to go at it....you stop running the risk.

Don't get me wrong, I genuinely miss this too at times....but I also don't want that risk anymore either and fine with waiting things out.

Ah absolutely. I’d say as I’ve got older the ratio of planned : spontaneous has decreased a lot. As a student I’d go to the club any night of the week and go home with someone. It was fun for the variety of sex, as well as just hearing about someone’s life for a couple hours. These days I simply don’t have the time nor go to such places as often, so it’s mainly pre arranged dates/hookups. Even still, I try not to over plan things
