So an HB8 friend of mine that I've known for years but have drunkenly made out with a few times decided that she is going to start inviting me out...a lot. I figured she just missed me and wanted attention since we are both single and always have a good time when we go out. Cool. Fun with a hot chick who has hot friends is always a good time.

She invited me out to go see a concert...headlined by a touring artist who has been totally playing her for about a year now...so I saw a unique opportunity.

We were with a group of friends, and with no expectations to be had, I basically decided to just act like she was my girlfriend all night and it absolutely could not have gone better. Tons of kino, dancing together, flirting, etc, while he was busy playing. I even made some jokes about her inviting me out just to make the dude jealous. She completely ignored him all night.

After the show, going back to my place wasn't even a question, I just told her to meet me there and she did...after she initiating a quick kiss right outside the club. The group of us got to my place (where I planned on sealing the deal) and the flirting and kino continued while I played bartender for a few minutes.

Then my no-game roommate came out to join us. He decided to take it upon himself to kill the party by asking her about her sex life (or something) in order to "help me out by convincing her that being open to casual sex is a good thing". As if I need help with a woman I've already had a past with. He had all the best intentions in mind, but drew out this conversation for forever, absolutely DESTROYING the entire night by getting all serious on her. No matter what I did, he wouldn't get the hint.

She left awkwardly within the hour. I know why, too. It made her associate the fun time we were having with all the drunken walks of shame she had ever taken, which totally inhibited her ability to proceed. Quite frankly, I wanted to punch my idiot roommate right in the face.

Hopefully she didn't think that I was in on it. I'm gonna meet up with her again soon to try to make up for the bonehead.

TL;DR: (A) If a girl asks you out, take advantage of it. Be alpha. She wants you to. (B) Don't ever let serious subjects come up if you think you are going to close.
