Hi guys.

So I threw our second Entourage Game party last night. I would call it a success, but there's still a ton of room for improvement. Big props to reseddit and UrSofaKing from TokyoSeddit for coming and bringing fun people!

It was a traditional party in a small club.

I have some observations that I want to list out while they are fresh in my mind.

Positive observations

  • It works. Social proof is through the roof. As the event organizer, lots of people were sucking up to me. Girls would open me. Free drinks, etc.
  • Thanks to social proof, I would do the ridiculous things I always do (picking up girls, throwing them around, etc.) and people would comment to me "Man, you're awesome." Feels good, man.
  • Number-closing is very easy and should be done as much as possible.
  • DJs were happy to have an outlet for their music and getting them to come and spin is easier than I thought.
  • Other like-minded people would ask me about merging crews and turning it into a regular event. This means it's growing organically.
  • Girls need to get laid just as much as guys. I happily pawned off a girl from my Entourage to a guy who was into her. I DHV'd him like a boss and they went home together.
  • It feels awesome to be a true value giver. Many people had a good time, friendships were forged, DJs got to play, at least six people got laid, all because of my Entourage Game. I cannot stress enough how important it is to come from a place of giving value and not taking it.
  • It's super easy to stay in state and relaxed, at least for me. If you are genuinely giving value, worrying about other people having a good time is an absolute pleasure and not a chore.
  • Almost every girl at the party was smoking hot. I was amazed at the quality of girls who showed up.
  • Completely naturally, we successfully bounced to an after party (at karaoke).
  • I got a BJ in a bathroom from a fat chick. (don't hate)

Negative observations

  • I get way too pessimistic before the party starts. Just anxious about not having enough people, it being a lame party, DJs being annoyed, etc. I need to chill out more.
  • I forgot the memory card for my camera :|
  • Thursday nights suck for throwing parties in Tokyo.
  • Note to self via UrSofaKing: Even if the party is not starting until late at night, put on the invite that it starts earlier (at 9), so the people with work the next day might actually show up.
  • We had a very low response ratio on the invite email/text/etc blast. More on this below.
  • It's only going to improve from here, but the party died pretty quickly once 3am hit. I want to keep it going till the sun comes up.
  • It's incredibly important to keep an abundance mentality. I've got no issues with this but UrSofaKing fell out of state quickly once a girl he brought ended up flirting with other guys instead of him. Don't sweat it! Lots of girls out there!
  • Girls showed up from my Entourage List who I invited and some of them I had no recollection who they were. I need to take photos of these girls or something. There is no way to keep track of them all!

Observation on the invite blast

I was very disappointed with the response ratio on the invite. I did a short and utilitarian approach to it, I believe to our detriment. It wasn't unique to me because both reseddit and UrSofaKing had the same problem when they blasted it to their list.

The gist of the invite was:

Hi [name]! How's it going? We're having another party! Come and bring your friends!

party info listed here

See you there!

I'm thinking it was too impersonal, too bland, and didn't convey enough information.

I want to include something unique and eye-catching for next time. Any good ideas, seddit?

Also, I believe we need to create an artificial sense of scarcity. Maybe some BS about a guestlist and how they need to respond by a certain date to get on it for free admission? Any good ideas?

Also, the party was on a Thursday night and we blasted it out the Friday before. Responses were very slow to trickle in and many did not respond at all. Last time we blasted it out two days before the party and had a much higher response rate. What do you guys think about this? Also what about follow-up reminders, maybe the day before or day of?

The next parties are going to be a little different. A home BBQ event and a huge drunken picnic in a park. Both will be on the weekend, so I expect great things.

Looking for advice, seddit. What are your observations?
