I've been gaming on my own without much guidance for years. About the last 4 or 5 months I've been actively trying to incorporate many of these PUA principles/programs into my own game. A couple of nights ago I finished reading Mystery's revelations.

I have to say the whole thing struck me as very counterintuitive but I said fuck it. Every approach I do will follow Mystery/Lovedrop's principles tonight.

Night starts at my neighborhood bar where I am a regular and friendly with all the staff. I do my best to do the bored rockstar thing they talk about hold my drink at my waist act like I'm thoroughly amused in my own little bubble. Which is not hard for me as I tend to be someone who is social but also completely OK with being alone. I figure I'm hungry SO I order a bunch of sliders and other bar food.

about 10 minutes later HB 7.5 sidles up to me while I'm eating. I decide my line of the night is going to be "Do you think you're cool enough to get the bartender's attention." It sounded like some sort of neg Mystery would use so I rolled with it. The line hooked and we chatted but convo petered out when she got the beers and went back to her friends.

I stay unreactive, continue chowing down on my burgers. A few minutes later two HB7s come up. The one brushes my hand and asks if I could make room so she can order a drink. I nod but don't turn to face her and do the whole Mystery talking over the shoulder thing, and give her my "I don't think the bartender thinks you're cool enough" line. This time I hook and we start vibing. They start shuffling because of the lack of room. So I decide to pull an little Alpha Dog on them and just push them back and yank the stools out away from the bar. This had the interesting effect of bringing them both closer to me and creating kind of a barrier from the rest of their group.

Next thing I know HB7's other HB7 friend leapfrogs her friend at the bar and introduces herself to me with hardcore IOIs. I decide to reel the friend back in as I figure now that her friend is trying to steal me I've shot up even more in value.

We continue the vibe, I'm following the Mystery plan. Every IOI I show is followed by a neg, push-pull. I tell interesting stories, about skydiving traveling, some ring routine. Randomly space out while she's talking or lean out when she is on the phone. Of course constant kino.

After about 15 - 20 mins we bounce to the other side of the bar. Her friends roll by and I can tell they are girl coding her that I am a green light. I get the kiss and everything is running on all cylinders. Once again, constant push pull negs, following by IOIs and qualifiers. Try out the whole hug her while telling her she is a wacko/silly. Stuff was working.

Finally, venue change to the restaurant across the street for some grub. My apartment is about a block away so I tell her that she should come by and have some Iced tea so she can sober up before driving home and get out of the heat (restaurant was open air). We bounce out and as soon as we get to my place its pretty much on. We finish around midnight. I walk her back to her car.

After she's gone I head back up to the same bar, I notice a 2 set (HB8 HB 5) as soon as I walk in staring right at me. Where normally I would walk right up, I do it the Mystery way and kind of angle my way in and toss some sort of random opener (I forgot what it was), to the HB5, not the target. I guess I had some preselection going b/c I hook immediately to the point where the HB5 offers her seat to me so I can talk to her friend. Threw in a false time constraint, HB8 had ton of IOIs, smile leaning in, interest, etc. By this time I am tired so I cut the set short and # close and go home.

Not a bad night. Overall I think Mystery's stuff works. Its different from my usual style which is mostly natural/build rapport. But it seems deceptively effective. Will have to try it out some more.
