No way out but through. Takes time but going out and meeting people/working on yourself helps a lot. I found self improvement made me feel a lot better. Lots of gym etc

Coming from a woman’s perspective that’s in the same boat take some time to have fun first. Meet people without the intention of dating. The right woman will come when you least expect it and you’ll know when you’ve found her. You have to be ready for her. The best you you can be for her. Be that person for yourself first. She will see and she will come. And having that practice under your belt is going to set you up for success

Some guys will recommend to either get back in the rizz right away or go to a strip club. Frankly, I think these are not the best tips. Trying to game while getting through a break up is tough, and if you notice you’re getting blowouts/rejections, it’ll put you in your head and make you want to try to talk to you ex. Strip club, self explanatory, the working girls will try to exploit your emotions with female validation to try to get money out of you.

My recommendation is to go out and just socialize. Go play pickle ball, volleyball, run club, etc. with strangers or friends. But don’t stay home for long. Also, get back in the field when you feel ready. Don’t push yourself and try to heal first.

I fell in love with a girl this summer and thought I finally found the one. Dated for a few months having one of the best summers of my life to eventually get dumped.

I know the feeling. I’ve read a bunch of books on being social, making friends, dating, and being charismatic. Here are the things that helped me:

1) Write a letter that you will never send to her. It’s more of a journal entry but write it as if you would send it to her. Get everything off your chest in this message. I forget what book mentioned to do this but it legit felt like a weight off of me once I wrote the message out.

2) You need to get back out there to meet new people. The fastest way to get over someone is to replace them with someone else taking up that time. It’s been 3 months since the breakup for me and I’ve somehow already dated 4 girls since.

3) Wake up and force yourself to smile through the day especially when walking by people. Smiling will trick your body into being happier and you will be surprised at home positive of a response you’ll get from smiling at people. Keep eye contact as well.

4) Get back out there and instead of having the goal of getting laid change that goal to focusing on both having fun and genuinely trying to learn about the people you talk to. Do this to both male and females. This has helped me build new friendships. People love to talk about themselves so listen to what they have to say. The more people you make connections with the closer you get to that next solid relationship. I’ve also reached back out to old friends, keeping these new goals in mind, hanging out, and having a great time where I might make even more connections.

5) Only time will help but if you follow the above I promise your happiness will start to increase.

Well I can tell you not to go out and try to find someone new right away, cus if they break up with you it makes it a lot worse (going through it now). Take the time to heal and get your mental space back in order. Clean, workout, rearrange your living space, focus on family and friends. Reach out to people you haven't talked to in awhile.

Just got out of a 9 year relationship that ended pretty bad.

You're going to be going through an emotional rollercoaster and you're vulnerable. You very likely will become desperate to try filling the hole in your heart. That might be fine but realize it will cloud your judgement. I would suggest not looking for anything romantic. Casual should be ok.

You should go out and discover yourself again. Have fun, hang out and do activities with friends and try your best to have zero expectations with women. Just chat and have fun. If you're not doing those, fill your time with a hobby or side gig.

It will take a bunch of time to feel like yourself again but it does get easier and better. Just make sure to take time to process your emotions and go through everything that went good in the relationship and what you did wrong so you can improve next time. There will be a point where you can't think of anything else and that really helps moving on.

Oh make sure you get rid of as much things that remind you of her.

Best of luck bro. Things will improve. I'm post 2 months and chatting with a few ladies and that's enough female attention to keep me happy. Haven't even been on a date with any of them and if I don't, it doesn't matter. I'm happy.

Also depends how long you were in a relationship for. I'm 9 months out of an 8 year relationship. So I'm kind of enjoying that free time

I got out of a LTR recently and it helped me to start dating right after. It felt good to know that there were other people out there. I went to close to the sun though and got a bit burnt out. Be careful to be moderate about it. If I could go back and do it again I’d probably keep going out for the intention of just talking to people and making friends because emotionally I wasn’t ready to date.

It did help in the sense of reestablishing game and getting over fear of rejection so net win anyway.
