I agree it's pretty much the basics of everything else. People just like to shit on it because it's old. Obviously if you take it to extremes the way he does in his book and show you're gonna get questionable results, but if you're subtle with it you'll see positive outcomes. The body language stuff he teaches is the stuff of legend. Works like a damn miracle.

i feel a huge issue on this sub is lack of structure and context. a lot of advice can be great at one stage, but horrible in another stage. and if you dont know the structure and WHERE to use which technique then your overall game will be weak. a lot of people overthink little meaningless things. and yeah they need to get back to basics. and basics means structure. build attraction, signal intent, build intimacy, escalate. it's not hard. but if you dont start with the structure you can get lost easily.

Mystery method is definitely old school. I wouldnt recommend that anymore.

I do more natural game these days.

Alot of people used MM back in the day and it worked for them. The newer stuff is much better in my view and I was all on board with MM. There still are great things you can learn from it. But, attraction is in the sub-communications and mystery is so reliant on routines and outter game that you miss all those important inner game items.

Why not use routines to get started as training wheels, then work on natural game as you get better.
