Going to bars alone?

When I was single, I went to bars alone all the time. I would end up making friends with other people there, some regulars and some not. You have to make the situation work in your favour. Find a bar that caters to something you enjoy. If you're not having fun, then leave. The best thing about going alone is you're not tied down by other people. You won't have people dumping out on you, you won't have to worry about leaving when your friends aren't ready (or vise versa). Once you actually embrace your ability to do things alone, you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

One thing to make it seem “less weird” is getting some food. But in all actuality, it’s definitely not weird. Also, I’ve never had a girl at the bar ask me who I was with.

Depends what type of bar is your vibe. I can lose myself on the dance floor solo, but like a sit down bar I don't feel as comfortable.

You are worried about what other people will believe about you, when the only thing that matters is what you believe about yourself. If you believe that it is okay to go out by yourself, grab a drink, talk to people, be cool and confident, others will perceive you the same. If you are making what they believe more important snd worry that they will think you are a friendless loser, guess what? They will treat you like one.

Where do you live. I think location and culture comes into play here, depending on the scene and how social people are where you live etc

Anyone who's lived in a few countries (such as the US vs France for example) will tell you it can be massively different
