Seriously? There are dudes that would think that is what you talk about on a date? Ok I really need to think higher of myself if this is they game other dudes are bringing. My worst fear about going on dates with women is not knowing what to talk about or bring them with the things I am passionate about.

Yeah I always figured anger issues was more of a third date kind of topic lol.
I honestly thought most men would actually rather talk about normal things. Well most probably do but damn to honestly think a woman would think "wow you like petty revenge and you talk nasty about people let's breed right now". I should be thankful that guy just put a whole new level of confidence in me.

It is a good tip honestly. I wasn't reading into it u just found it funny and a little odd someone would talk like that.
[–]AgrivatedLemon 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Goes both ways. Everyone hates complaining. Everyone should eliminate it from their speech. It provides so little value, saps positive energy, and is one of the most unattractive qualities in any human. Who wants to be around someone who is negative? Not me.
[–]thebochman 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Can i ask how he even got a date w you in the first place?
I see so much shit about guys doing the dumbest shit that I wouldn't dream of doing yet they're somehow still getting dates, meanwhile I'll be lucky to get a match at all on tinder/hinge.
Would you agree that 1) be attractive 2) dont be unattractive is the only thing that matters?
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Idk bout politics lil
[–]msletizer 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lol I'm sure you can talk about politics, as long as you're in agreement on everything.
[–]brain-trainer 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ha politics always ends badly for me
[–]NotClothed 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just talk about whatever and hang out. It's all about body language anyway. Most people want to talk about themselves too.
[–]Hot-__-Topic 35 points36 points37 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Ooo, that's a definite red flag and even a deal breaker for most people.
Constantly bringing up their ex or are demeaning towards them.
I know you said his co-worker, but the same energy can apply to other people. If this is how they treat others it's a matter of time before they treat you the same way. Plus why talk bad about anyone, probably issues that's why.
[–]mermaid-babe 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Absolutely. Someone who is always talking shit is going to talk about you. I’m all for venting about an annoying co worker but it’s not a first date topic
[–]chuckvsthelife 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Don’t talk about things you hate on a first date. Positivity is good. Negativity isn’t attractive.
[–]usedtimecapsule 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
How is it I always get rejected but guys like this get dates.
I know I sound like a nice guy but I don’t mean to. I’m genuinely asking how these guys don’t get rejected on the spot like I do.
[–]agpc 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Rejection is part of the game, a major part. Keep trying and fake confidence if you must. Not in an asshole way but in an unflappable way.
[–]YoDaddy1069 -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Rejection is a part of life, learn to deal with it. Don’t take it personally, it just means the girl is not into you the same way that you’re not attracted to certain girls. What would you prefer? Girls that are not into you be forced to go out with you? (Rhetorical question)
[–]starry_eyes222 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It makes you wonder what they'd say about you if your back was turned.
[–]distraff 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why would anyone ever think being negative on the first date is a good idea?

Was it at least a good revenge story?
[–]agpc 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Revenge pranks stories are fun. Revenge revenge stories are scary.

Did you both wear a masks? I’m genuinely curious about how many people are still insane about everything including dating and reactions to this question.
[–]jujubinkz 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ohhh, so that’s why my 2 dates last fortnight went bad 🤔 wish I saw this earlier...
[–]legendoftheeast 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You went on a date with Jim from the office
[–]SushiSuki 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is like the equivalent of an interviewer talking shit about his last job at the interview lol

People still finding dates?
[–]SpeakeasyBoppin 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Any time I talk to a girl, the amount of time they spend talking about an ex and how much they bash there ex are big red flags. I do like to know, some things like what they liked about there ex and didn't like, also why they broke up. Those give me tips on things to avoid and things to do. But if they bring up there ex alot, it tells me there usually not over the ex. Also if every single one of there ex's are horrible rotten people, it tells me they cant identify there own faults. It also tells me they'll bash me when we break up as well. But if they bring up the ex super often, it's a major buzzkill. I don't usually discuss my ex's for this reason. If you talk about your ex so often, that you stop saying "my ex" and just say there name. That means you bring them up too often. Also just be weary about how you tell someone your dating about your ex. Keep it short and simple, dont make yourself sound like a victim. Its classy.

Omg wtf get up and leave next time Yoo don’t have to subject yourself to that It’s not good for you bruh. Just say, hey i got wicked diarrhea peace out, 1 luv. You can probably even get away with leaving him the tab at that point also

Advice for guys: focus on her, not on yourself
[–]TheMailmanic 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah but ime dates go better when you let the girl talk more than you. People love to talk about themselves
[–]mcclusk3y 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
All I read was: Her. On. Yourself. Focus.

Men shouldn't brag at all
[–]GreyareaWalker 5 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
Humble brags are ok. I see them more like talking about the good things you do for yourself or others. It's ok to brag about those in a able way of course. Like, I talked him down to a lower price, or I was able to fix her computer easily, I was able to climb a tree to bring her cat down shit like that.
I did a half-musty flip reset with my eyes closed.
