Somewhere where you are familiar. (this may mean scoping out a place before the date)

Quiet enough for a full conversation. The main purpose of the date is to get closer to each other and to create chemistry and attraction.

Able to create kino with some semblance of privacy.

Sometimes just a hangout/dinner date at one of your houses is good if it's a social circle gal or day 3. Make or order dinner, watch a bunch of funny youtube videos, show her vacation or family pictures, get her naked on your bed...

When it's warm outside, I like to take girls to cool nature things. In Ohio there are plenty of places that are pretty secluded, and beautiful. For instance, one day I took a girl to see a naturally formed land bridge. It had a cave underneath it, and led to a river. Ended up swimming together in the river. During the cold months there are cool things to do too. There's an arboretum near me that lit the place up with candles and had a walk through at night. When school starts again, I'm going with a girl to a jazz club in north Columbus.

These things might not be your style, but it's something to start with. Going to parties, getting drunk, and hooking up is alright - but what will make the most impact on women is doing things that are out of the ordinary and showing her what an interesting person you are.

Look up a cafe with live music. There's one where I live that has jazz gigs every day of the week. You just go there, get a table and listen to the music while drinking a glass of wine. Which is pretty damn cool if you ask me.

I love going on Art Museum dates. Most have a free day each month, and it opens up opportunities for hilarious analysis of the artists' intents with each piece.
