You probably were boring, predictable, generic and dull in the conversation, so it wasn’t going as well as you think it did, at least not in her opinion. The photo thing is most likely irrelevant, although if she really has no clue what you look like, of course she isn’t gonna go out with you. It would be dumb for her to go blind to a date.

Two pieces of advice I would give you:

Make an effort to have a social media presence. I honestly know how you feel, for a long time I hated pictures because I thought they made me look worse off. But seriously, you can only overvome your fears when you face them. Social media is absolutely the best way to show women that you have an interesting life, period. They do value it. I didn’t have any social media until ~4 years ago. It took some time to get a grasp on how to properly use it for game, but nowadays it is serving me pretty fucking well.
Don’t assume anything when you are dealing with seduction related stuff. It will only fuel your anxiety and frustrate you. As a good mate of mine says, “you are only fucking when your dick is inside her”. Best way to get around this anxiety is hitting on more women. Again, have patience, take your time, and this will happen naturally.

Not having a picture means she may have forgotten who you were. She’s probably got 20 males interested in her at any given time, she’s going to forget you if you don’t remind her. And she’s not going to go on a date with someone who she doesn’t even remember.

It could have also went wrong with how you tried to get the date though. You might have left it flaky and given her outs. Maybe she gave you subtle hints about that. Either you have a date or you do not. Respect your time.

Dude, “catfishing” is so rampant that if someone asks for a photo, phone call, video chat, etc, you do it or you get the ghosting you deserve.

Literally all you had to do was send a picture of your arm petting a dog..... Or something equally as ridiculous. Next time, misinterpret instead of outright challenging her frame.

If I were talking to a guy and he didn’t want to show me his face id be annoyed too. I’m not going to go on a date with someone I don’t remember the face of. But you should probably drop it
