You have to desensitize yourself to it. It sucks at first but you get used to it. It takes a lot on no's to get to a yes.

You may need to build up on your confidence first.
Rejection sucks, but if you're that afraid of rejection that much then you haven't got much confidence to begin with.
[–]Its0ver4U 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link
There's no confidence for your face.
If you are instantly rejected and insulted constatnyl for your appearance, no amount of confidence will make you attractive.
[–]Smugdemeanor 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
There's a lot you can do about your looks though. Getting in shape, getting a haircut, and wearing fitting clothes is one of them. For Pete's sake, have you seen JayZ?? Looks are very low on how girls rate men! How you carry and present yourself reign supreme!!
[–]Its0ver4U 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

What if you've already done all of these and still get harshly rejected?
have you seen JayZ?
Yea, you mean the 6'2" famous guy that has like a 1B net worth with his wife?
Looks are very low on how girls rate men!
Every psychologist and anthropologist would like a word with you.
In-fact, it is the ONLY accurate predictor of romantic attraction that has been identified through decades of research on the topic of dating.
[–]Wjourney 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Then get with chicks ugly as you bro lmao
[–]Its0ver4U -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Doesn't really work like that.
Women date up and across while men date down and across.
Women don't want to date men in their own leagues.
[–]Wjourney 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
What im saying is date a woman in the league below you. If you can only get with a 300 pound 1/10 then thats what u have to do unfortunately.
[–]Its0ver4U 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yea, not really physically compatible with someone like that.
I'm not going to date someone that I have the polar opposite personality to.
I'm a fit guy that's motivated and in-shape and driven in my life.
I wouldn't be attracted to her personality or her lack of health and fitness.
[–]Wjourney 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Then why are you complaining
[–]Smugdemeanor 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
If you are not trolling and are genuinely asking:
You are probably approaching in an uncalibrated manner and should work on approaching more subtly and happenstance-ly... As old time PUA's used to put it "over the shoulder"
Many better looking billionaires without a wife as fire as he is. Also, just look around your community. If you're in a college you should know that chubby guy, or not so great looking guy that's pulling girls.
Again, I do not say looks don't matter. I'm saying we need to redefine what we term as looks. Your grooming, your smile, your style, make up a larger component of your "looks" than any natural symmetry you might be referring to.
[–]Its0ver4U 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Your grooming, your smile, your style,
I've already perfected all of these. Been going to the gym for 3+ years.
[–]Smugdemeanor 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Callibrate your approaches. Don't be too overt the top.
[–]Its0ver4U 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think if anything, I'm very laid-back and casual with my approaches.
I rarely every overtly flirt right off the bat and never make overtly sexual comments about someone's appearance.
I just aim to have a friendly conversation and if anything else happens from there, then so be-it.
I'm not going into most of these conversations with the main goal of asking them out. I'm talking to most of these people just to talk to them. Even if I wasn't asking women out, I would still be talking to them and having conversations. I'm a very social and extroverted person and I love to meet new people and listen to their stories and what their aspirations in life are.

Then if all you're saying is true it doesn't sound to me like this is your lived experience.
[–]Its0ver4U 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
How is anything that I said even remotely close to false?
Your confidence is literally based on your social proof and validation that you get from people.
The whole idea of thinking that confident guys get girls is idiotic and a platitude.
The guys that can get girls in the first place become confident, and then idiots falsely attribute their success with women to their confidence when it was really all their looks.
There are tons of women that outright say that confidence in a short or ugly guy is really weird and uncomfortable.

Take this next month and only go for rejections. Saw dumb shit that should never work. Opened crazy sets. This time November you will have been rejected so many times it won’t be a problem anymore. Like the other guys said, you have to desensitize yourself to it.
[–]GoldSmith64 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You are going to get 1 of 2 answers. Both of which come in many different forms but all essentially mean the same thing; either yes or no. You need to be prepared for both. Just accept it gracefully and move onto the next
[–]purpleuser777 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Is it better to never hear yes because it saved you from hearing no? That’s a little rough but.......
Maybe the first step is managing your state so that you feel attractive. Maybe the second step is who gives a ....

Don’t try to fail but do get your 10,000 hours in! It’s a practice. You’ve got this.

Thanks for the upbreat attitude man! (Not OP, but I appreciate good energy when I see it)
[–]SnooOranges5570 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I really hope you wouldn't be attracted to someone who would ever say "ew". Honestly, if they reject you that sucks, but at least you'll know and believe me, you'll get over it! At least you'd be ae to move on easier. And of course, they could also just say yes! Maybe you can try and make it seem chill, maybe not label it as a date. Whatever you want lolol
[–]vault444 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Respond with something friendly such as “ah I gotchu” or “no problem, have a good one!” And just walk away. There are so many people that will find you attractive and so many people that won’t, you just gotta wait until you meet someone of your preference who also prefers you.
[–]KingCeddy24 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You move on quick, as fast as possible. Billions of women are waiting just to get to see the best version of you, and that girl wasn't one of them.

There is an advice that I found from another reddit user (on this sub, different post) :
Approach, get rejected. Blame it on the randomness of the universe. And move forward.

Does it hurt in the body? Does it kill or cripple you? Will you die if she rejects you? Is it maybe all about your fragile little ego?
[–]hjallday182 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Don’t cope with it, if she says no act surprised. Tell her you thought she had good taste and you will see her later.

Overcoming Fear of Rejection
[–]Illum1nated 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think everyone is missing the point. If she is your coworker or something, perhaps it's best if you don't engage in trying to get a date, as it can make things weird if you have to work together. But the overall answer is it does not matter. You need to be happy with who you are and you want to share your gifts with the world and with a woman. If she says no, the better, as it already points you in other direction, instead of loosing time in dates that would not lead anywhere.
[–]Smugdemeanor -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'd say, unless it's against the policy, you should definitely go for the coworker if you're interested. At the end of the day, it's only awkward if you let it be. If she says no, make it clear that you respect her decision and it's NO BIG DEAL! From experience, it's only a big deal if you take the rejection personal.
[–]manny7797 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The only Thing I can say to you is that just because one, two or even ten people reject you, just know that, everyone has opinions. Everyone has there attractions. Just because you may not be there’s doesn’t mean that others won’t like you and want to date you. Keep your head up. A rejection may be saving you from something. Good luck and stay confident no matter what.
[–]Amikatey 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Bro....it's easire said than Done... But DAMN IT... that sht hurts.. We all chop that sht... It's part of the Game but remember REJECTION TASTES MORE SWEETER THAN REGRET.. so just go for it and stop worrying about it till it happens. Else you will forget things can go well and focus on getting rejected which will then trigger the rejection... So just focus on thinking it will go well and when the rejection happens it's easire to say ''eewwww'' and walk away feeling like the James Bond for trying what 95 % of guys wount do. Go and F*cking apporach Her.
Sounds like you need better genetics bro.
I've been working on myself for years now constantly and still get harshly rejected by girls because I don't look like a male model.
It's insane to think that nearly 1/3 of young men today can't get laid because of women's inflated standards.
There is a lot of scary shit in store for our civilizations in 10-15 years.
99% of the women sleeping with the top 1% of men will soon be a reality.

Cry and never try again.
[–]Smugdemeanor 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
As all other comments are suggesting, exposure therapy is pretty much the only way to grow out of it.
I think at the end of the day, reminding yourself that there's tonnes of girls out there that would like you should give you all the motivation you need to move on as quickly as possible in search for them.
I asked a girl if she'd like to kiss me over the weekend, and she said "I don't think so", I handled it awkwardly, but what I realised is that it hurt significantly less than when I did it the first time with a different girl (this was my second time "asking")
So man, the only way around it is to keep getting no's till you realise that, at the end of it all, you'll be just fine. The world won't end. And, not every girl will say yes. It's just an impossibility. Once you come to terms with that, your game will skyrocket.
Accept it, you dont like every girl, not every girl is going to like you. Its a part of life
[–]NDex101 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Truth!? You don't. Rejection happens and your mind copes with it in it's own way. You have to build up a resistance to it and that gets better over over time. It's like a fighter. They must stay in good enough shape to be able to fight. Yet, once they come back from a vacation, they can't just sit on the couch and eat pizza everyday then expect to get back in the ring. You have to take the good with the bad when it comes to rejection. You deal with it by know not trying to win every girl. Instead like the experience of trying to pickup a girl rather than how well she rejected you. Calibrate, do your field reports, learn from the mistakes and move forward. I like the fact that you can start with a different girl soon after being rejected. Be vigilant, everyone gets rejected. Everyone. I got rejected 5 days ago from some girl at this party. I just remembered thinking,"You can't win 'em all." And that's it right there. Move on. That quick.
[–]letsgetrandy 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'm so tired of reading how people think rejection will crush you or destroy you or whatever. You kids need to fucking nut up.
LOOK: You are already not dating the girl. You are already not kissing the girl. You are already not fucking her. You are already not engaged to her.
If she says no, turns you down, says she's not interested, whatever... LITERALLY NO PART OF YOUR LIFE WILL HAVE CHANGED.
Why are you all so fucking scared of rejection?
[–]whatskeeping 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You say, "Ok Thanks, have a great day" I mean it's ok for you to say no as well. It's not personal. How many left swipes do you make? Either way you took your shot, were all hunting.
[–]abjones97 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Once you have actual confidence, go into things NOT expecting to be rejected. And just being rejected, works like exposure therapy. More of it you’re exposed to, the more comfortable you become with it.

I have been rejected by alot of girls but today i have the best girlfriend i could have asked for. She looks really good she is super cute and smart.
I have always gone for girls “above” me look wise. This however have turend into alot of rejektions but it have also forced me to work on myself (my styl,my humoer, my body language and so on) And slowely l have turend into a better version of myself so even if you get rejeckted you wil learn from it.
After some time i began to know myself better and i was abel to attrack girls pretty easy. Not beacues i had change my body( beacues i haden’t) i changed my styl and tried to look good and I have also changed “myself” (am not the moste attractive guy but i dont care about that anymore 😂)
if you get rejected don’t spend to much time and feel sry for yourself, go out and do stuff with friends ore what you enjoy. Don’t sit in you’re room and think about her all the time no try to do something that will distract you instead.
Also don’t believe what people say about only go for “you’re league”. That is horse shit. Why do you think a lot of “ugly men” have a hot women? Am one of those and no is not because I have alot money because I haven’t You should go for the girl you like no matter how she looks. Confidence And begin youself goes a long way my dude so believe in yourself and work on yourself and you will get a good girl who you deserve.
(My English is bad because is my third language 😂)
