It all depends on how far you've already escalated (have you kissed yet or not). Are you going for the kiss or trying to take them back to your place for sex?

Definitely a bit trickier but more effective if you do it before you've even kissed them. I usually am just assertive with complimenting their looks. And then gauge their receptiveness.
