I don't drink, so this is every first date for me. I try to feel them out and figure out what they are excited about. Like the girl who was so busy with work and kids and talked about the lack of excitement in her life, I took to a local zip line. I try to lean towards unique adventure stuff myself. I figure the more excited they feel by the activity, they will be with me. Years ago, I could pay the local student pilots to take us up and fly around. I try to make it something they have never done, witbout looking like im trying to give them the moon.

I do find that some dates just want drinks. I usually just pass on them because they lack the sense of adventure im looking for.

Comedy clubs are a good one in some situations. If someone wants to drink, they can, but you don't have to. Only downside is that it's like a movie, where neither of you can talk during it. Upside is that it gets her laughing and you'll have inside jokes.

I love comedy so this is my go to.

Do you live next to an ocean or bay ? I usually put a chilled bottle of wine and two glasses in the car before I pick her up.

Drive up to the bay. Get them out of the trunk when we both get out of the car. (Always be leading and be spontaneous) and just sit on a bench and I pour her a half glass. In the motherland they consider wine as food. Sets the tempo for her to lower her bitch shield.

First dates are a vibe check only and shouldn't go for more than half an hour. If you're doing anything more elaborate than coffee you are massively overcomplicating something that should be simple. Meet, see how you vibe, ask her for a proper date / nice to meet you good luck.
