I mean, wouldn't baby steps be better? asking for directions? going to social dancing and asking random strangers to dance with you? Its what I've been doing, and I feel better about it nowadays - far from 100%, and still quite far from 100% cold approaches, but still better than 3 months ago. Also "flirt" and make small talk with the guys you meet in lines\outside. Wanna kill off shyness in general, not just with women you know..

There's no 'shy person inside you'.

You are that person, you are shy. And you're letting that behavior pattern stop you from achieving what you want.

It's ok to be scared of talking to chicks, it is scary in the beginning. Do it anyway.

I feel like you're hoping the shyness will go away and it will get easier to approach... but that will ONLY happen after you've approached A LOT.

Yes it will be cringey, yes you will care, yes you will feel like shit for screwing up. So what?

If you want it bad enough, you'll punch your fear in the face and do it anyway.

You can get over being shy. Jump out of your comfort zone as much as you can and eventually you won't be shy anymore. Maybe build your confidence by working hard at something, weightlifting is always a good one.

Listen man. You’re doing the right thing going out to begin with. Keep that up. You might have to go out 20 times before you get the drive to go and actually approach. It’s deeply psychologically challenging especially if you’re new to it. Don’t fucking give up on yourself. Lower your criteria at first. Allow yourself to open up and walk away. Take baby steps. Like the top voter sais. Practice small social interactions. Hobbies, talk to random people about the weather. Talk to a store clerk. The point is tricking your brain to let go of your shyness.

The way i managed to get over it is i decided to break other peoples shy bubble and get them to open up.

Cringe or no cringe. You have the will. Now pave the way my guy 💪LESSS GOOOOO

I don’t think most people can pull of a cold approach very easily or confidently. As other people have said, maybe try something a little less bold

I went to a similar situation, what i did it was just talk to anybody, the thing is as the other said take baby steps, if u feel in the mode to just start talking to a girl in the bus, gym, etc. Do it, what's the worst that could happened?

The problem is you're in your head about it. The fact that you are analyzing and over thinking this is why it happens.

You need to do the work to desensitize yourself to the outcomes and what people think. Try to get into the moment and not be in your head over thinking things. And you can't get there unless you stretch yourself and get outside of your comfort zone. Seek out social interactions and focus on not letting the outcome effect your mood in any way. It's literally like ordering a meal in a restaurant. It's nothing. Nothing is a big deal. If you take enough action and do this right, your thinking mind will shut off. That's the inner game work you need to do.
