I met a girl. Went on a date. Had a great time. Lots in common. Sweet sensual k-close. And then an icey cold flake to the face.

PUA theory tells me I should just move on to the next one, don't wait, just keep approaching, there are a thousand out there who are great and won't flake. But I have the urge to say some are worth more than others. I've met and talked to a lot of girls with whom there was just no chemistry. Some were too shallow for my liking. Some there was just too much friction. Some just weren't interested. What ever the reason, you just can't work with everyone. But every now and again you meet someone you jive with. I've found that having the same sense of humor is a very reactive area of a relationship. For example, I have a sarcastic intellectual (although I just had to google how to spell intellectual) sense of humor. I like puns, and taking people either too literally or not literally enough, which ever best fits the situation. Thats me. Some people like it, others not so much. Either way it's polarizing, and when I meet someone with with whom I share that, among other things, they just seem more...worth it. Like I actually want to spend time on this person, even if it just seems to hurt me. It's irrational, but for some reason it also feels natural. It's hard to explain but I think you understand.

Anyways, this girl has been racking my brain. I got the message that something is up. The whole non-response response thing is effective enough, albeit a terribly childish way to deal with someone in my humble opinion. Now I have it in my head that I will somehow feel better if I find out the why. Is this horseshit?

I think I will find out either way, it sort of feels like a right of passage. I'm nervous which also makes me think this is the right thing to do. My question is what have you done in these situations? and what do you do now?
