I've recently come to terms with "One-itis", putting her on a pedestal, or obsessing over a girl you barely even know. But I was wondering, does the same thing happen to women when they think about guys?

Kind of. Building up expectations is human. Abstaining from going after others while you are hung up on a particular person, is human.

However, it does affect girls differently in that it doesn't penalize them in social situations the way it does guys. A girl can be really hung up on some dude and other guys will overlook that because they're so concerned with getting in there and they so focused on making things happen that they don't care if the girl is committing offenses that would blow a guy out, or if they are throwing up red flags that would ruin any game for a guy. Guys are kind of stupid when it comes to things like this. (Speaking as one.)

I've seen so many girls do things that NO guy could get away with and still gather a circle of followers.

In most cases no. At least not to the same degree. Why? Because attention and desire is something women can get easily. If you had three or 4 girls texting you all the time you'd have a really easy time not feeling oneitis.

It actually tends to be more extreme when a girl does it. And yes, they get oneitis just as often.

It absolutely does happen to women. I overheard a conversation between a friend of mine and his sister about this guy she was interested in ( His sister btw is an attractive, well educated women with a good job) where suddenly she states ' I keep dropping hints and giving him clues but he keeps saying he's not at the place in his life for a relationship. I'm gonna give him six months to see the light or I'm moving on'.

Oneitis mostly comes about in people who lack other options. Most women have at least a few options, even if they're a bit ugly or fat, so oneitis tends not to affect women to the same degree as it affects low value guys who can't get anyone.

Up until the point they realize they can get another guy of higher value. Then all bets are off and that door slams shut.

Its like a cat being in love with a master that gives them dry food, and then they the cat finds a master that gives them fresh fish. They aren't looking back.

They can, but is not as common.

The issue is how Attracted she is. Guys crush on a girl they are very Attracted too. Unless a woman is as Attracted she normally will not get get obsessive.

She does but, it won't last as long. The reason being she has 5 other guys who are into her and she know it. If she's hot, probably 10 or more guys chasing after her.
