tl;dr Two days ago, I met an incredible girl. Yesterday, I got her out for a fun date. Today, she disappeared from my life.

Approached this girl two days ago at a concert and we agreed to meet again the next day. During the date, the conversation flowed well, but I struggled to escalate physically and build sexual tension. While I fought against intimidation to maintain a strong frame, she was confident and used to men chasing her.

The date also had a lot of hiccups. She forgot her pad so I had her wait while I ran around the city looking for an open pharmacy. We missed the timing for ice skating so she offered to buy me dinner instead. We had a traffic jam on the ride to dinner. The entire time she would reject my kino attempts, for example to put my arm around her.

After dinner, she came back to my place, but I still couldn’t escalate. The night ended with me trying to keep up with a conversation in a non-native language about film. Today, as I tried to message her again, I found out that she had deleted me. Alas, I truly enjoyed her company.

Lately I’ve taken a step back from seduction, gym, and most of my hobbies to focus on job hunting (I’m a senior in college). I’m several months out of practice, and I also feel shame and incompetence for dropping everything for the job search. Am I prioritizing for my future, or am I neglecting myself?

I liked her, and I pulled out all the stops. Yet the way she completely ghosted me makes me realize that all that effort added up to a trivial amount unworthy of acknowledgement. The only way out is up... or forward... or something—I understand. Still, this is my first time feeling this discouraged. Please do share words of encouragement or wisdom.
