Anyone on here still use Mystery Method to some extent? I haven't been on here very long but I've noticed most of you don't seem to be into it.

I personally don't use it very literally either. I try to script as little as possible and just let it flow freely. But I have found that scripted material does work better with online game. I also use MM's M3 model as a sort of roadmap that helps me identify what stage of the interaction I am in. If the interaction feels a bit off it's handy to be able to identify what stage you are in and what actions to take in order to get it back on track. I'm a newbie though so they might be just training wheels that I won't need anymore (or not as much) once I become more experienced.

MM also helped me realize which stories I should tell and how to tell them in the best possible way (real stories, not made up stuff). We all tell stories over and over again, don't we? Even on regular social interactions.

What are your thoughts on MM in general? And what about the way I try to integrate it with more "natural" game?

Any "routines" you use would be welcome too. I personally don't like to just copy stuff that didn't really happen to me, but hearing other people's stories has made me realize that I have similar stories that I'd never told before, or hadn't told in the right way.
