You're in a perfect situation to go online. Intelligence is my #1 qualifier and the quality of women I'm meeting on OKC is incredible. It's just way too much leg work filtering that out in night game for me. The statistics prove out that their just aren't that many smart women out on a given night. Day game you can be more selective in your places but it still tough, theirs only so much time you can spend sarging whole foods and other high end spots.

I think you worded that poorly and it seems like you're trying to filter out the non-smart women.

The challenge here is qualification. You're not going to see their true nature unless you challenge them and they become invested in demonstrating their good qualities to you.

Intelligence follows a normal (Gaussian) distribution. That means that a minority of the populace is really stupid, half is below average, a minority is really smart and half is above average. Mostly, there's this huge blob right around the 'average' mark.

Statistically, 50% of the women has an above average intelligence. How smart do you want them to be? If you mean uni-level education, disciplined and ambitious but still able to have fun, you're talking about a minority. And then you have to account for self-elective effects.

If you approach in a bar, you might find very few highly intelligent women. Less than you'd expect according to that Gaussian distribution. More intelligent women may be busier, with work or studies. They may have a more focussed social life and thus have less time to burn in clubs or bars. They may be more active and thus spend time on sports in addition to work, education and a social life. The women you want might require different tactics and a different hunting ground.

If you 'simply' approach you have no way to filter out anything but the complete fuckups. It takes a little more (a few dates, some healthy discussions) to figure out wether they're actually intelligent or not. A bar is not the right environment to make that judgement. Few guys like being outmaneuvered intellectually, so girls may be disinclined to showcase their smarts at the pub.

'The game' has always been a numbers game. But if you're not simply looking for a shag or a fun date or two to write a FR about, you're aiming for a minority within your successful approaches. And then there's the possibility that more intelligent women are less responsive to the run-of-the-mill PUA tactics because they value intelligence in their mates.

My fellow posters will probably have plenty of suggestions. I have only one recommendation: screen your venues and match your approach to the girls you expect to find at a venue.

I.E.: College-town bar. What sort of college? What classes is it known for and is their gender distribution skewed? Are there any student associations / unions (or sororities) that frequent that specific pub?

Where I'm from the social and medical field is really big. Psychology, for instance has a 85%(F)/15%(M) gender distribution. I can find a larger social studies student union, figure out at what bar they host their weekly/monthly drinks night and head in. I then know what my audience is: girls that are emotional adults, very social and broadly interested but rarely geeky.

If I go to the history union's drinks night I know (from experience) that these girls are less emotionally sensitive, but with a broader political, philosophical background and a love for inappropriate (somewhat offensive) jokes that require knowledge of historical context.

Don't assume, experience and analyse. Head in, find out what works for you and have fun. Approach everything but don't escalate until you know the place or you'll be 'that outsider that tries to get our girls in bed' to the entire pack. Once you've got an idea of how the people are, you know how to tailor your approach to that specific crowd.

The ones worth going for are the ones that can conceal their intellectual capabilities. It's a fun puzzle that you're going to have to figure out. What I like to do is make references that would be a far fetch for the average woman to understand. If she responds in kind, keep using other concepts to probe how deep the rabbit hole is.

Saying that you're not intimidated by intelligence is one thing, but this way you're not only showing her that you won't judge her for how smart she is, it's almost like a battle between you and her. Kind of like how Bond and Moneypenny had their little battle of the wits in Casino Royale.

day game in a book store or coffee shop is good if you want to up your odds a bit, compared to night game (but night game is still good). I often try and get into deep conversations within the first hour of meeting someone. Sometimes it's just me doing a monologue (I've never had anyone turned off by this, pick subjects that branch off of the conversation), and if they engage then you've potentially found someone.

In all seriousness, just meet more women, but in places where they're more likely to coincide with your interests/preferences.

Meet them at things only people of your preferred intelligence would be at. Like museums, galleries, public lectures, or even intellectual societies.

You could also afford to go to professional networking events that mix people from top tier grad schools.

If you're not in that category, I think you'll probably find yourself qualifying yourself to them.

I think these women have the same issue. When we are looking for an intelligent man, they're no where to be found. Maybe the problem is where you're looking. I tend to get sloppy and stupid at bars (alcohol mostly), it's just a situational thing, but I like to think outside of that arena, I'm level headed and intelligent. Have you tried meeting some of these ladies at other places, like a coffee house or a bookstore?

Bars would not be a good place for intelligent conversations, my friend. In fact, I would argue bars to be a perfect place to have a non-intelligent conversation haha.

A lot of people mentioned online dating. I would agree. I would also suggest getting involved in with groups, activities, etc. where you can share an activity and hold an intelligent conversation.

For example, I like women who are healthy and like to be active. So group sports, yoga, etc are great places to go for finding these types of women.

Apply to a PhD program! grad parties are the shit, nothing but conversations about nuclear fusion, and approach becomes so easy, because everybody wants to talk about nerdy shit and are brimming to find and outlet. If that doesn't suit your lifestyle, you can network with friends who are in graduate programs, and eventually get invited!
