I'm going to expose something that has happened to me in the last 2 weeks, as an example of what I believe is good attitude, and also to get your opinion guys.

DISCLAIMER: All this comes from a guy who considers himself a PUA apprentice, I have much to learn and this is not written in stone, ok? I will appreciate your suggestions.

A little bit of background: thanks to Seddit I got into seducing and dating a girl, she was all over me, then I screw it over by giving her a huge compliment. The next day she texted me "blah blah you're nice" and I knew it was game over, haven't talked to her since. I don't really think it was that big of a deal, but if she believes so, then she's not for me.

I gave myself the summer to think about it, didn't even go for girls as most days I was having low energy. Now back in september, after holidays, I returned into my routine and my workplace social circle, which is full of girls, most of them friends of mine. We sometimes go for a coffee and talk about relationships and sex, which is super useful and I highly recommend it if you can do it.

Ok now into present day. Last week I was getting complimented A LOT by those female friends. The compliments range from "you look very sleek today" to "damn you're hot" and even leaving an anonymous note at my work place which read "cutie!". I'm fit but I've never gotten these kind of attention. I was overwhelmed. Women do this to each other randomly, to "brighten their days" but I've never seen anybody doing this to a guy.

Keep in mind, all these came from girls who already have bf's (and I know the guys) or are not interested in me, but who I keep close and talk about our relationships/sex life very openly. I do really know they're not hitting on me (and if it were the case, I'd need to think about it).

First point of the post: learn how to take compliments. If you get told "you're hot!" or "you look great today", don't say "thanks, you too". If you are got off guard, just say "thanks". If you have a high energy, say "thanks" and give them a wink, a thumbs up or something that says "I know, sweetie" without actually saying it openly.

At the moment of receiving the compliments I was with other girls (and guys), who looked astonished of the whole situation (I was too, but hid it). Both the event of a girl giving me a compliment and also of my reaction... which leads us to the

Second point of the post: getting social proof from a girl is HUGE in front of other girls. Nothing impresses them more. So try to always have some close friends with whom you exchange compliments regularly (just not in return for theirs) so that you end up in a situation like this.

This acts like a snowball. Now the girls who were present in that event compliment me and seem to respect me a lot. Again, they're not sexually interested, but girls love to be playful and teasing. Am I hotter than last week? Absolutely no. Do I look hotter? Well, it seems so. And the only thing I did was get one single compliment and take it correctly, other girls will make the snowball roll.

Will I get some of these girls? I don't know. But getting used to compliments and learning to flirt in a safe and controlled environment will help you a lot. LEARN.

A real life example. One of these girls asks me if she looks beautiful today. She was, because she was wearing super nice earrings, but I say nothing and walk away with a poker face, ignoring her. She goes after me and asks again a couple of times. Poker face. She leaves. Later that day I go to her and tell her "I love these earrings" and walk away again. She runs back after me and hugs me.

This simple trick got me double points with her and probably gave her boyfriend (who's a cool guy) a nice fuck that night. After the first interaction she wasn't angry, just a little disappointed, but everybody knows that agreeing to a girl's self-compliment is bullshit (and can even backfire if it's your gf), it's better to ignore her.

Now you're thinking "you're full of shit, I can't do this at my workplace because the girls aren't like that". You're completely right. So try to produce these situations somewhere else: at the gym, at bars, or even with your close friends gf's. The guys will thank you later for changing their gf's mood and having awesome sex with them.

Sorry I can't change your life routines, try to adapt to your situation.

Third point of the post: After a deception, try to grab whatever gets you positive energy. Don't give up. Girls compliment theirselves because it makes their day better, which seems gay but really isn't. Make people feel good and they will make you feel good too.

If you're feeling down, tell your friends and then let them help you. Don't close yourself. A girl friend will do a lot of stuff to help you emotionally if you feel kind of depressed. A guy will make you laugh and pay for drinks. Take that and enjoy your friends.

Give yourself some time, as long as you accept that you will try again later. Give yourself a deadline. If for some reason you're super happy (your sports team wins, you go to the gym and look great, you buy a very nice shirt), get on that good mood wave and ride it.

Even if you don't understand what the hell is going on, if something good happens to you, use it at your advantage. Don't screw it by overanalizing it or being too cautious.

And finally, well, I myself actually liked to overanalyze stuff. Not anymore, but when things cool down I want to know why stuff works and learn from my mistakes. We're redditors, so there's a high chance that we're all very nerdy.

I was curious on why was I getting compliments from different girls while I didn't do anything special. And I found out something on which I really want your opinion, people.

Fourth point: don't fap. My return to work has been crazy and I hardly had time for myself. This means no free time, no time randomly browsing the internet, and... no fapping. I've been fap-free for 15 days, more or less.

I've read a lot about hormone levels, and looking back I'm pretty sure that it has something to do. Digging into my memory I found another time where I was super successful with girls, and I realized that I also had a high work load. Is is possible that I had also been without masturbating for a long time? Well, I do remember the situation (something personal happened, unrelated), and that was indeed the reason.

For some reason girls see you hotter if you don't masturbate. Coincidence? Maybe. But I'm going for that. What's the worst that can happen?

If you let me, I'll give you homework: Don't masturbate for 7-10 days, and come back here and post your experiences. Will you do it? If you think it's difficult, try to find the reasons/situations where you fap and avoid them: boring alone free time, browsing that website which always posts boobs, staying up late watching sexy TV shows... Try it. For science's sake.

Well I really hope that this wall of text is useful for somebody, expecially ex-AFCs like me. I was a loser and I can feel I'm changing, so you can do it too. There's hope, guys, one step at a time, and don't be afraid to post your findings. I'm pretty sure that if I've said something stupid, somebody will correct me and we'll all learn from it.

TL;DR: Getting a lot of compliments lately, might be because I don't masturbate, want your opinion on it. I learned to take compliments and flirtations and now it's like an unstoppable snowball which gives you high energy. Use that energy.
