If the issue is that a girl might think you are too old for her, always say this:

"Don't worry, you're not too old for me."

And if she implies that you're too young:

"Don't worry you're not too young for me."

Always, always. Regardless of whether you tell her your actual age.

Remember, "old, old" and "young, young".

This neutralizes the shit test by implying that she is the thing that she accuses you of being. EDIT: and then saying it's ok.

She told you how old you were. You might have simply accepted that.

I'm 48yo and my target female age is 25-33yo, so this comes up a lot. It's always an early hurdle, but if I can delay the answer until after we've been physical, it's not a problem. What works for me is an absurd lie, "I'm 19yo. [they're confused] And you're 17yo. [they smile] Just go with it. [partners in crime]" It gets us past the initial objection.

It helps that I'm in Russia, where girls are very insecure about their age -- 25yo is considered "old". And also I'm in very good shape, so the "age is only a number" thing comes into play.

That said... unless the 18yo is very mature for her age, I would not pursue. But... that said, her objections may only apply vs a relationship. Casual hookups may still be on the table.

For the record, I dislike the response "how old do you think I am". It doesn't avoid or neutralize the shit test, it just delays by about 30 seconds when she will get it out of you.

Would you make her guess your name or height?

That particular girl is weird about age gap. Nothing more, nothing less. Move on.
