One of the problems in the PUA community (and I am guilty of this as well) is that sometimes guys get good and then they act like being good is easy and they are rude or dismissive towards guys that are new or aren't doing well. Well, let's all take a step back and remember for a moment that WHAT WE DO IS INSANE. Each and every one of you should be very proud of whatever you can accomplish and realize that the whole PUA thing is extremely difficult.
The idea of approaching random girls, striking up a conversation, getting their numbers, and then going on dates with them is very difficult and the vast majority of guys can't do it. It happens all the time in the movies, but in the real world I would venture to say that the vast majority of guys have no idea what they are doing. In the real world, most "approaches" occur because
1) both parties are drunk so they are both on autopilot
or
2) the girl is so into you that you can make a million mistakes and you can still close.
or
3) You just happen to be in the right mindset inadvertently (you're feeling really confident or you aren't investing in the girl for some reason).
But very few, few guys can systematically do what we do from start to finish. To put it simply, a lot of PUA advice/techniques is counter-intuitive and goes against what our logic and emotions would naturally have us do. For example, I've recently learned that to ask a girl out you have to offer a definite time and place and on the date you have to plan and lead every step of the date. This is not something you learn anywhere or guys naturally do. You have to learn this by reading a PUA blog or a book or something. No matter how much a girl is into you, if you ask her out like you are asking your guy friends to hang out, she will bullshit. Everybody likes to think relationships are all about forming a magical connection with the other person, but the reality is that there are certain fundamental things that you have to do to build attraction, and those things aren't intuitive or taught anywhere.
Let me put it in more starker terms. People hate the weirdness, rejection, and stress of meeting girls and dating SO MUCH that pretty much every traditional society created an institution called MARRIAGE where you are basically forced to marry somebody society picks for you and get killed if you try to fuck somebody else. Even though traditional marriage has fallen apart, most people are stuck in relationships not because they actually love the person they are with, but because they are terrified of having to meet and date new people. I have friends that are rich, good looking, smart, cool, funny, etc..., but they absolutely suck with new girls so they are stuck in loveless marriages with girls they don't really care about because they are too afraid to leave.
Remember - game doesn't come natural to anybody. I have friends who are professional athletes and famous celebrities who still suck at getting girls. IF they do get laid (which is alot) it is because the girls come to them and they don't have to do anything.
And let's not forgot AA. The idea of going up to a random stranger and striking up a conversation is absolutely terrifying to 99% of people, men and women.
And finally, let me say this. Another shitty thing about the PUA community is that you're supposed to brush off rejection like it was nothing or that the solution to oneitis is just a few workouts and banging a few girls. The fact is, PUA is extremely hard because it fucks with the strongest emotions human beings have: love, attachment, rejection, acceptance, and our drive for sex. Put simply, YOU WILL feel like shit if you get rejected. I have abundance mentality for days, but if I talk to a girl for 5 minutes at a bar, get her number, call her, and she doesn't answer, I will feel like shit for a little while. Of course, it goes away quickly, but the fact is, its in our biology to feel bad when we get rejected, ignored, fucked with, etc...
So whenever you are getting yourself down, remember that what we do is extremely difficult and there is always something to learn.
