23, and grew up kinda sheltered, the worst kinda thing for a guy, especially if you're raised quiet and polite.

Had plenty of crushes that never worked out, terrible luck since even before my balls dropped (seriously, since like 1st grade) but I never became so affected I'd be scared of rejection.

But the thing is, nothing changed. I never was scared of getting rejected, and rejection ironically loved me back. My only success and the only reason I'm not a virgin legitimately is because honestly I was a rebound off Instagram that made this one cosplayer chick in an abusive relationship giggle and smile.

Over the years I've tried over and over, the same thing, different things, different types of girls, focusing on myself, trying harder, trying less...

The only thing I've gained is depression and the internal belief that something about me as a person is just... intrinsically unattractive. I feel weird and uncomfortable in social setting with groups of people I don't or barely know, when before I was either neutral or got along well.

I genuinely feel like a lesser person compared to everyone else and get a pit in my stomach and feel either hollow, depressed or wistful, or some combination whenever I see or picture attractive women and feel like it's no different than me imagining I'm Spider-Man.

I know that nothing I do will matter while I have this mindset/emotional state, even though nothing mattered before... at least there's a nonzero chance I'll be able to live out my delusion of being wanted if I fix this.

But this isn't a therapy sub so, TL;DR, how can I rebuild my self esteem? And what pits did you guys go through, and how'd you fix it?
