Imagine this: you’ve got a date lined up with a girl you really like. There’s chemistry - physical, emotional, everything. You’ve been texting, she’s excited, you’re excited, and she confirms the plan the day before. You’re getting ready, feeling good, and then… nothing. She doesn’t reply, doesn’t show up. Just silence.
That’s exactly what happened to me last week. I had a strong connection with this girl in the initial interaction and she even told me multiple times she wanted to meet. Then, on the day of the date, she disappeared. No text, no call, no explanation.
Of course, that stings. It’s disrespectful when someone ghosts you like that, but it happens. You can’t control that. What you can control is how you respond.
I’ll be honest - I was frustrated. I showed up to the place, waited, realized she wasn’t coming, and I could’ve just gone home pissed off. But instead, I decided to keep moving. There happened to be a free concert nearby in Madrid, so I went to check it out. A couple of hours later, as I was leaving, I crossed paths with another girl. We made eye contact, I went to talk to her, and we instantly clicked.
We ended up grabbing a drink, laughing, talking about everything - and the chemistry was real. She was a Spanish girl coming straight from work, still in her office clothes, and by the end of the night, we went back to my place. It turned into one of those unexpected, fun, completely natural connections that remind you why taking action always pays off.
That night reminded me of something simple but powerful: it doesn’t matter what happens to you - it matters how you respond. I could’ve gone home and felt sorry for myself, replaying the rejection in my head. Instead, I went out, did something I enjoyed, and ended up having a great night.
Being good with women isn’t just about confidence, flirting, or good conversation - it’s also about emotional resilience. You need to be mentally tough. Ghosting, rejection, cancellations - they’re all part of the game. You can’t take them personally.
The worst thing you can do is feel sorry for yourself. When you do that, you lose your power. You stop improving, stop acting, and start blaming. Sure, not everything is in your control - but how you respond always is.
So process the frustration, take a breath, and move forward. Every time you step outside, every woman you walk past could be a new story - maybe a great night, maybe a few amazing months, maybe even your next girlfriend. You never know.
But you’ll never find out if you let one bad experience stop you from showing up again.
