Should I text the guy after the first date?

“Interested” and “desperate” are two different things (despite the former can be a manifestation of the latter).

There aren’t rules about timing for texting or calls.

When things work, they flow naturally. He texted you, you decide to text him, he replies, and so on.

The difference is in the overall dynamic: you text once, then you wait for a reply. No need to bomb with texts if the other doesn’t reply. No response IS actually a response, unless they have a solid reason which prevented doing that, but it’s still their responsibility to provide an explanation in reasonable time.

You can always keep this rule of thumb: take initiative once or twice, until the other takes initiative. He took initiative the last time. So you can do the next one or two.

He ran out conversation and most likely does not want to mess things things up or come across as you describe yourself in the situation. Weird aint two people who dont want to come across as desperate or toward although both feeling each out. Wow the pressure is on. Help him but dont do everything for him

yes woman, text him, show that you are interested, he should take the lead from there, hahaha, this is awesome seeing things from the perspective of the woman, had he texted you first or right after the date, you would've felt an incontrollable loss of attraction, not a huge deal, not the ideal thing either.

If you like him put in effort on your side, don’t leave it all up to him. Forming a relationship takes 2 people to work towards it. Sending a simple text won’t strip you of your dignity or make you look desperate.

Text him: "I know what you are thinking".

He will reply "what? What are you talking about? Okay, what am I thinking right now?"

So you say "You are thinking how you will take me to the new XYZ movie OR the new cocktail lounge on X street". Or something to that effect.

People feel like they need to b careful about “sending texts” when texts weren’t around 25 years ago.

CALL HIM, leave him a voicemail if he doesn’t answer and simply say

“Hey _____ I wanted to hear your voice, instead of sending a plane old text, I had a great time on the date, we should do something fun again”

Maybe the conversation will go on a tangent & you guys might talk for hours who knos lol

Hey _____ I wanted to hear your voice, instead of sending a plane old text but I got your voicemail. Just wanted to tell u I had a really good time on our date… (talk about watever) then just say I want a call back or a txt letting me kno u listened to my voicemail. But I want to hear your voice!

PHONE CALLS are the new texts 🫣 yeah I wish it was. But they should be
