Great question. Based on my experience finding success on apps combined with reviewing profiles along-side women.. not conveying strong emotional iq is one of the biggest issues most guys have on dating apps.

You can convey emotional intelligence in your photos by first being groomed and wearing clothes that are considered fashionable and socially acceptable/attractive to women. Many non western men, especially my south asian homies seem to struggle with this greatly for example.

Also conveying warmth and comfort in your photos shows emotional iq, typically by smiling naturally both with closed mouth and showing teeth in different photos.

Also lack of awareness when taking photos in locations that convey negative attributes are signs of low emotional iq, such as taking a photo in a dirty bedroom or filthy home. High emotional iq guys take photos in locations that convey positive attributes about them, such as on vacation trips, camping, national parks, nice restaurants, at events or festivals etc

Having photos with children, even your own and even if their faces are covered, can convey very low emotional iq. Many women view this as men using kids as a blatant manipulative prop to make themselves look warm and non threatening. Animals and pets are ok but if the animal appears uncomfortable in any way it is then reduced to a prop and conveys low emotional iq. High iq guys will reverse this dynamic and make themselves the prop of their pets.

Writing anything negative in your bio can convey low emotional iq etc etc

Here's an unpopular opinion--

The women who are asking for that either--

Had a really bad experience, or, more likely,
Wants someone who does all the emotional work, so they don't have to.

My ex was #2. She wanted me to be an emotional punching bag, and then would complain that after verbally attacking me, I'd return the favour when I got tired.

This is one of those things that makes it more likely to skip someone's profile.

A great way to show emotional intelligence on first date is to go the School of Life way and ask early on, "...what makes you mad?" And share vulnerabilities early on. Of course, done in a confident manner that shows you're self aware and accepting of your flaws, and don't pretend you're perfect. You'd be amazed how quickly people open up when you allow yourself to be vulnerable

This is such a fair question and the previous comments are correct. Theres no way to “show” you have emotional intelligence on your profile without specifically stating it… which I don’t really recommend.

My only suggestion would be to make it clear YOU value traits indicative of emotional maturity in a partner via one of your prompts. Like “green flags I look for are” growth mindset, empathy, open mindedness, humility, good listener, deep conversations, good communication/conflict resolution skills”

Act like you’re on a dating show when you answer prompts for example:

When I met my girlfriend she said what caught her eyes were when I said a life goal of mine that was ambitious + also fun.

I said, a life goal of mine: “learn to dance without embarrassing myself 😅 and get my masters in insert field I’m in”

It actually got me so many matches my account got paused

You don't with online dating. They're just a lottery of whichever woman likes your look and then makes more critical evaluations on a date. Do cold approach and talk to people in person. Ideally, make the apps your lowest priority.

By not trying to game the profile too much. The profile is for pics to show your value as a man.
