Is there a "guide" for clubs/bars too?
[–]silverbird666 39 points40 points41 points 6 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link
Now that you have said it, I am gonna write and post one here. Expect it in a few hours in this sub. Nightgaming is an absolute passion of mine, and because we can not do it right now, a few theoretical lessons would be better than nothing.
Edit: If someone happens to be interested, it is finished.
[–]college-dating-throw 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Thanks I’m gonna be a senior in college in LA and I’m finally legal age without a fake lol. I literally have no game/dating experience so I’m definitely looking to step it up. Working on a lot of self improvement this past year tho.
[–]silverbird666 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Legal age in America means 21, right? For me as an austrian this is crazy, to be honest. I mean, I already have years of nightgaming experience and I am 19. Here in Austria you can do almost everything as soon as you are 16, drinking is also legal at that point. I did not drink anything until I was 18, but I am definitely quite a exception, as odd as this may sound for an american, in my country many 15-year olds are at least social drinkers.
[–]_DeezNuts714_ 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Basically everyone drinks underage in America. Pretty much everyone in college does (so around age 18) and many start in high school. Fake ID’s are very common, and it’s also common to just have a friend or sibling or something who is of legal age to buy for you.

This is why I usually like to use Snapchat to talk to girls, it’s easy to swipe up on her story and comment on it and get the convo going from there, or to send her a picture of something and start a conversation. Texting is a bit harder because like you said you don’t know how to start a chat again after a few days. The way out is escalation. In my opinion, I’m not sure how other guys feel about this, you want to get out of the texting phase as soon as possible. Maybe after you’ve talked for a bit and felt each other out make a move. Invite her to dinner, a movie, to come over ,literally anything with some risk. Texting non stop, or texting frequently without any sort of action will cause one of two things. She’ll lose interest in you or you’ll be put in the friend-zone. So pretty much the only step is escalating into real life communication.
Now for help about the actual conversation itself. Make sure all your texts you send her have a purpose. Not to just keep the conversation going because you feel like it’s dying. Whether the text is to make her laugh or make her feel flattered just illicit an emotion.
Now it’s a cliche but mostly true, women love to talk about themselves. Ask her questions about herself, and if she’s interested she’ll most likely ask you these same sorts of questions back. Now this is good but make sure not to ramble or talk to much about yourself leave some things up to the mind.
I’d say try not to use many emojis or just don’t use them at all.
Don’t ask yes or no questions try to ask questions that are more open ended.
But the biggest things here are make sure you feel it out!! If she’s just responding “yes”, “cool”, “haha”, “nice”. She’s not interested and you’re not gonna get anywhere by continuing to text her so stop. Next big thing is for the love of god don’t over text her. Once you feel the convo dying I’d say stop texting her and trust me if you wait she’ll hit you up. And finally escalate it! Don’t wait too long! Let me know if you have any more questions :)

There are some good tips here.
[–]intl_plyrs_clb 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ask her out. Don't try to entertain her or build a connection over text.

Guy who has never approached a girl here: I'm from Europe and not from America. I have a feeling that phone numbers have pretty much been phased out in favour of social networking. I don't have snapchat, but I have Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Line. Seeing as Whatsapp requires a phone number and Line is mostly used by Asians/Japanese, which would you consider to be the appropriate to ask for, FB or Insta?
[–]TowelSmacker 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Instagram or WhatsApp is better. A lot of people only use Facebook to keep up with their families
[–]opper-hombre1 18 points19 points20 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Don’t ask for a girls Instagram when approaching. That’s for orbiters and her fans. Be a man and ask for her number. If she says no, move on
[–]cedricgopnik 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I respectfully disagree here. Almost no one use numbers anymore, and it unnecessarily exposes you to more likehood of rejection. You'd rather up your social media game and exchange IGs. Checking your social medias allows her to see if you're a fcking maniac or not.
[–]TowelSmacker 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I have successfully asked for Instagram and ended up dating. It’s all about picking the right time and way of asking. Not overly complicated
[–]thefestivalfilmmaker -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Honestly this depends on the situation. If you feel a deeper connection with a girl ask for her number. You’re right it does show more directness. But if it’s a casual conversation adding on insta is a casual way to keep in contact.
[–][deleted] 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
[–]cedricgopnik 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Whatever works for you dude, but exchanging instagrams has been good to me. Allows me and her to stalk each other's background and it feels more casual. There is no way she will compare you to beta orbiters; it is unusual for girls to get hit on in public places. Most of the dudes cold approaching usually are total weirdos and rude. If you are charming and good looking, you'll be the highlight of her year and light years ahead of the competition
[–]jballer64 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
As a guy, I’ve started asking for snapchats now for two reasons, one is that the girl (I imagine) would feel better handing out a Snapchat because she has the option of blocking pretty easily. Also, a phone number provides a lot of information about someone. If I get your phone number I can usually find everything I’d need to or more about you without you allowing it. Snapchat allows a little bit of a barrier as long as your username isn’t your first and last name or the same username for every other social media site.
[–]Chicksunny 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
As a girl this is why I feel more comfortable giving out my Snapchat than my phone number. Feels less risky since I tend to try to keep my social media as private as I can anyways.
[–]jballer64 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is what most girls I’ve interacted with have said as well. I can walk into any popular department store like Kohl’s or Best Buy and give them a phone number and it would instantly give me someone’s address and email popping up on the electronic signature pad to confirm. Chances are they’ve shopped their at some point in their life and created a free account so it would be easy. Snapchat on the other hand doesn’t divulge any of that info if you have your settings set properly and if for whatever reason the girl felt unsafe snapping me, she can instantly block me and cut off all access I had to her.
As a guy, it also makes me feel a little more confident that the girl trust me when she does actually give me her phone number. It’s a natural way of her being the one to progress the relationship forward once she’s comfortable with me. As all guys know, most girls get more attention than most guys do on dating apps/ social media so if she feels confident enough to give me her number, I know I can be confident that I have a legitimate shot and hooking up/dating/befriending or whatever else you were on those sites for to begin with.
[–]Chicksunny 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh definitely, you are spot on. With texting anyone can message you but at least with Snap you have the option to decline or not get messages from strangers too.
That’s very true, if someone is giving me a weird feeling or I don’t feel like we really get along then it’s understandable there’s no reason to give them my number since snap already has a chat thing, but if I’m comfortable and trust them enough then I don’t mind doing so.
[–]AgreeableHelicopter2 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I don't really give two shots about wen.sayi g dudes are nude fishing. Have you seen Instagram lately? Girls are literally posting half nude pics and only fans links because they can't get validation from.anywhere else. Women literally have no right to shame us men for our sexuality.
[–]AgreeableHelicopter2 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Asking for your opinion, I don't have social media, that seems to turn some girls off, what's you're opinion. Sometimes I feel like they think I'm "fake" catfishing, or just think I'm a weirdo for not having it. I'll sometimes ask for a number and they'll ask for my snap/insta and I've got nothing...
[–]cedricgopnik -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good luck finding a 8+ without a 10k IG account and thousands of thirsty orbiters even she lives in a remote shithole
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I wouldn't ask women for advice on how to pickup women IMO. But here is my two cents. Create a snap. It's a low investment tool for social proof and makes communicating with women much easier. You don't really have to use outside as a message app. Unless you're in the top 10% of men (have pictures of fun activities, cool people, exciting places etc). Instagram is either neutral or negative for pickup and is entirely avoidable.
[–]Alex_J_Anderson -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just set up an account then. You don’t have to use it much. If you’re super anti social go with instagram and don’t post any pictures of you. Just post pics of like, leaves and plastic bags stuck in trees. Then you will get hella laid.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Haha you know what’s crazy I’ve been thinking about that a lot too. While writing this post in my mind I was like “man I should probably not say that” but you’re right I probably will leave any negative connotations out of it from now on.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah I’m working on the kinks right now but I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’ve kinda recently had a resurgence in my attitude and I’ve developed a “you only live once” mentality. I figured I only get to be in college once so I might as-well ask out cute girls while I’m here.
[–]Devilery 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I really hope I didn't come off wrong in any way. Please continue approaching all the cute girls! They will be glad you did!

This is sooooo over doing it! 🤦🏼♀️ As a girl ( who I must say lives in UK 🇬🇧 not America 🇺🇸)that kind of attitude would NOT impress me at all. It does seem like a cocky ego booster approach for the guy when he is trying to come across as “you so lucky”... Do I want to be someone’s ego boost ? No..... 🙄I’m lucky? You approaching me! That already shows guts, you don’t need to over do it and make yourself look like narcissistic man. Oh yes, I really want to go out with someone who thinks he’s a lottery ticket! Lol By saying “sorry to bother you” .”Sorry”- shows manners. “Bother you” - shows consideration, Because you are bothering me - a stranger approaching me in a public place? 🤷♀️ It’s not putting yourself in lower position, it actually shows curtesy, politeness and manners. Over doing it and over thinking every word to this point, is not how to come across confident or desirable... sorry to brake it to you.
[–]Devilery 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link
Thank you! Genuinely appreciate your view here.
I do have some narcissistic tendencies, but I do my best to only express them in a business setting.
I'm a highly ambitious, career-focused guy, so I might come off as cold and cocky. Meanwhile, I always show my true intentions, and never abuse what I believe I know.
Of course, such mindset could repell many, but at the same time, some girls just love it. I'm confident, the go-getter type, very self-sufficient and cold at first. Many find it interesting to 'unlock' the real me. It's fun for everyone involved. It's also definitely a reason why dates neve went anywhere. I'm way too self-absorbed and focused on career. That's why I'm interested only in very casual dating, and always let it be known in advance.
At the same time, equally ambitous girls love it, and we do very well together.
Appreciate your input, definitely something to think about.
[–]br0therbert 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I’d say stick to your nature. If you’re a confident guy, be that person. If a girls turned off by it, there will be 5 others who aren’t.
Also to me it sounds like it’s just the mindset you want to have- that the girls lucky to be talking to you. You don’t actually need to make her think that. The general air of confidence is what you’re trying to make her see
[–]Devilery 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly!
It's the authentic me. I am such kind of person, so I fully embrace it, and I think it's the best way to go.
I follow a very simple motto: "If we vibe, we vibe, if we don't, we don't"
Thanks!
[–]LKCat- 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (11 children) | Copy Link
Its good for people to hear another perspective. I’m pleasantly surprised you replied 😊 The key of that statement is “some”...if you are happy with “some” then ....good for you!💁🏼♀️ It shows you are attracting a specific kind of woman. You put on the facade of being someone els or persona you want to be and the women with abscession of being the one that “saved you” or “broke the barriers” unlock your real you ? It’s a masquerade game for you and being the “special one” for her. What for ? For a very casual dating? I personally would see it as such a waste of my mind space and my intelligence for a empty casual interaction with a man. What’s wrong being You?? Why can’t you just be yourself?
[–]Devilery 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
I mean, I probably did sounds like the classic 'Alpha-douche', so I get where you're coming from.
Oh, it's pretty tricky to explain the whole "what I'm like', when words can be so easily misinterpreted.
The key thing in this way of thinking is being the most authentic version of myself. Yes, my professional career heavily relies on persuasion and grey area manipulation, but in dating context, I'm as natural as I could be.
Many, many guys DO try to attain the cocky "Alpha" frame. I would say, I'm a naturally dominant and ambitious person, so this is not a facade at all.
I can also say that I'm definitely only looking for super casual dating only. I'm upfront that I'm not looking for anything serious, and in 9 out of 10 cases, both me and my dating partners are thoroughly satisfied.
I'm doing it just for fun, that's why there is this super-confident, careless-of-the result vibe.
I'll gladly respond to whatever questions you could have, but yeah, I'm just having fun here and out there.
[–]LKCat- 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Thanks for your reply... This conversation is quite interesting to be fair. I appreciate it 💁🏼♀️ You are confident, but it’s not natural, it’s perfected by hard work on yourself it seems and probably your goal for a long time. You tell a lot of things about yourself in a way that is clear to me you actually telling yourself that... for example... “ 9/10 of my dating partners are truly satisfied “ it’s a big statement. To be so sure about someone else’s feelings, when you don’t have a real bond/connection with them. Not realistic. And other example- I’m 100% sure I did not call you “Alpha”, it really didn’t come across like that to me ,at all. And I don’t believe when someone calls themselves that, I always think when you Alpha, you definitely don’t need to verbalise it,people around you just know, Alpha have this distinctive presence about them. I can see the persuasion and grey area manipulation though 😂....
[–]Devilery 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
It is, indeed. Everything is learned. I'm basically relearning things that will help me in life. You can probably see that from my comments in entrepreneurship-minded subreddits.
Yeah, the 9/10 thing is a mix of my inner narcissist and some wonderful experiences. I'm sure there's the other side, which is me cutting contacts once things get serious. I can imagine that's the downside... I can't keep up a long-term relationship, but I'm down to have a fantastic time with no strings attached once in a while. That means a fancy setting, with some extraordinary cool activities, and then we're just friends. Tricky, but I manage to make it work. I'm planning to spend at least the next 3-5 years on my businesses, so I can't afford to be in a relationship during that time. (lack of time, and potentially broken heart, which can happen to anyone, even the confident ones). :D
Yeah, about the alpha thing. I know waaay to many guys who have learned some 'hardcore PUA stuff' and then act like wannabe machos. I do hope that's not the way I sound. :D
I wouldn't call myself Alpha either. I don't like putting myself (or anyone) in a certain box. We're always learning, so always changing. I do me, whatever I think that is at the moment.
Loving the conversation!
[–]LKCat- 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I thought I was reading you well😂. Every days is a school day and knowledge is power! Good for you! I do respect your honesty and ability not to take offence to my questioning of your rationale 💁🏼♀️ Sorry, I just got this app few days ago ( I know, shocking🙄😂) and don’t really know how to use it fully as just entertaining myself while having some extra time, so I haven’t looked at your comments on entrepreneurship-minded subreddits. And to be fair, wouldn’t know how to at this point. And if I get curios about your opinion on something, I’ll Just ask. That’s how I operate 💁🏼♀️ Feel like I’m Alice in some weird wonderland of people talking all sorts, perfect for my inquisitive mind and fascination of human behaviour 🤣
Sounds cool! I'm going to sleep right now, but would love to let you pick my brain apart! 😄 It's equally fascinating for me to see what fascinates you. 🤭 Anyway, good night! UK should be late evening right now!

[–]thefestivalfilmmaker 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
I must say this was an extremely interesting conversation and you guys said a lot in a very short amount of time. The words you’ve just said LKCat hit me like you were talking about me too. Namely about confidence resulting from hard work and effort and being a complete facade. I always measure myself by my results and it’s exhausting and it keeps me from connecting deeply with other people because every interaction is another result to tally.
Devilery I similarly am too career focused, not that there’s anything with it. You working in marketing is probably why you say things that way but we all do it. We all try to create an image and find a set of buzzwords to fit that. It seems that getting through these barriers of what you are selling versus the real product is more important than anything and this conversation hit that home for me. Thank you both this wasn’t a conversation I was expecting to see on this sub.
[–]LKCat- 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You’re welcome? 🤔I’m not even sure this conversation was a positive influence on you.... What do you mean “measure myself by my results” as in your value as a person??? 😧
[–]thefestivalfilmmaker 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Lmao yeah if we are measuring ourselves by results we are never enough in the present. Then if we measure ourselves in interactions with people we aren’t connecting we’re pretending. That’s what I got from your convo anyway it was positive for me so thank you.
[–]LKCat- 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
What a poetic way to put it! I like it.... 😌have to think about that more actually. More than welcome 🤗
[–]takuemuks 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It depends...Some girls prefer the "You are so lucky statement."
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This seems like a guide for talking to 5-6’s.
[–]Devilery 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's pretty simple, can't disagree. That's why I added my comment about the 'positioning' or in dating context that would be 'framing' yourself right.
It's simple, but I bet more than half of redditors in this group can't follow through all the steps covered, so it's probably valuable to someone.
I'd rather encourage someone who's maybe not that experienced, than put him down. He's taking action and that's more than most guys ever will.

Anyone that needs a little more in depth breakdown pm me I’ve been a student of game for 8 years and I’m so massively grateful for everything it’s allowed me to give myself in the areas of self esteem and social confidence And currently my journey with game has lead me to seeking out the psychology behind all the core concepts and really getting to the deeper root of why you get nervous in certain situations and just a better overall fundamental understanding of behavioralism and inter-gender dynamics. So by all means I am more than willing to give back with the knowledge I’ve amassed over the years and help you out wherever you are in your journey!

And what if you have AA, then you will not even do step 1. I am looking for the threads about AA because it is really something I want to work on. I have almost never approached a girl like that before.
There may be some tips or tricks I’m missing but I also had AA. What got me over it was first approaching girls I thought were below my league or girls in settings where there weren’t a lot of people around. But overall there is no secret or easy way to get over AA you just have to do it and it gets easier everytime you do it.
[–]relentless_pma 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What was your intention when approaching those girls?
I didn’t really have an intention I guess. Just get some number was the main goal.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I really like step two. I think it is a great starter.
Thank you haha I don’t use it for every approach but when I pickup girls at football games I always use that and it works.
This seems so straightforward, but somehow I know I could never go through with the step of walking up.
DON’T OVERTHINK IT JUST GO FOR IT
If only. It's probably a combination of confidence and self-esteem. What in the hell would a girl want to do with some rando off the street! I could never walk up unless I had a really good reason to initiate conversation, and at that point what do I do?
Are girls interested in guys coming up to them in public? Obviously depends on the girl, but I think the fact that so many men are aggressive rapey assholes who don't take no for an answer makes me too anxious to possibly look like that myself by talking to a girl who's a complete stranger.
[–]Twister6900 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I can’t believe this even has to be said. A lot of you have had 4-6 weeks to yourself, and you’ve still done nothing for yourself and continue to just worship women. This sub actually has a lot of terrible advice for the most part.
[–]Wander1900 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why not better give up on dating... It's too complicatedP
[–]GodofWar1234 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So how do you actually “execute” between steps 1 and 2? Do you just go “hey, what’s up?”?
[–]njugiste 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Should one also have idea of why they're approaching a person?
[–]tresslessone 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Step 6. This is easier said than done but don’t show nervousness. This ones hard at first but even if you say something stupid or there’s an awkward moment don’t breakdown!
The easiest way to do this I've found is to purposefully SPEAK. SLOWLY.
[–]LKCat- 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ha ! I’m almost curios about people 😂
[–]Xazax310 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Immediately after saying this I will ask her name and introduce myself
I would tweak this, Don't introduce yourself, and don't ask her name. Just talk to her as if she was your long lost friend. Let her ask for your name. If it never comes up during the convo it will when you ask for her #. This also avoids step 3 entirely.
Step 4 should be 80-20 rule until its 50-50. You approached so talking 80% of the time until she's doing more of the talking. Don't be the interviewer... asked OPEN ended questions What's college life like? Make statements or assumptions. Be fun. (You seem like a book nerd) (you look like a wild party girl!)
Rest is pretty solid.
Man that’s some good advice. Next time I approach I’m definitely trying this out!
[–]mr_Tobbor 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I don't know why you post this one. There are myriads of internet pages saying those and other things about approaching! In every single detail.
[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
That’s cool bro, this now is also an internet page about approaching.
[–]mr_Tobbor -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I think the chapter of approaches has closed. There are some guys here and more guys out there, they can make approaches. Most don't. Let's try to find something else, something new to overcome this issue. It is insane to make 100 approaches to take a number who then flakes.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
I mean you can try tinder or bumble that seems about the only other option, but for me the flaking on there is even worse. Also I’m not trying to be rude but I hear people say the cold approach game is dead when it’s obviously not because it works for me and tons of other guys like me.

Ok. Let me ask you a question? How many approaches have you done to accomplish fucking last girl you fuck? Can you give me some numbers for your past experiences.
If you are 8, 9 or 10 I understand why. But if you are 7 or below it is very important for me to know.
