I'm a senior in college, used to only have intermittent success but have been really concentrating on improving myself lately and have been getting better. I've been going to the gym every weekday for the past month, meditating for 5-10 minutes a day, hammering my schoolwork and trying to step out of my social comfort zone every chance I get. As a result I'm getting pretty decent with girls who are moderately attractive and I've closed a few recently.

My sticking point, though, is with girls I find very attractive. At a certain hotness threshold I can't stop myself from reverting back to old thought patterns and validation-seeking behaviours. Even though I do believe I'm a funny, attractive, interesting person, I've always had a bit of social anxiety, and with these attractive girls I always find myself thinking that I won't actually be able to hold a conversation with them. Then once I'm talking to them and there comes a break in the conversation I start thinking 'oh shit it's getting awkward, what can I say to be funny/cool, what do I do', etc. As a result I'm not really hitting the mark I want to.

My question is: what can I do to break this? What has worked for you guys in the past? Any and all tips appreciated.
