Listen, lots of people on this sub (and in the wild) don't know what flirting really is... It's not just spitting game back and forth. It's really more of a vibe and attitude. There's no real "tricks" because how you achieve that vibe is going to vary person to person. That said, you can't go wrong with eye contact, smiles, and genuine touches.

Since you're a woman it's not as big of a deal, but I cringe when I see the way my male friends try to incorporate touch in the most "flirting means I touch you so I'm going to do it in the least organic way possible to really call attention to the fact that I'm trying to flirt but am not super confident." When looks or touches feel formulaic, they're not as successful. For me, I like to offer a genuine compliment at some point in the date, but I need to work it into the natural vibe without just throwing it out there. So if she's got a sexy smile I'll let my eyes wander to it throughout the conversation and then eventually say "man I keep getting distracted by your smile" which usually causes her to smile more which then leads to a "hey now you're just being cruel." It's far more effective then when someone just out of nowhere throws in a compliment because that's what they think they're supposed to do.

Anywho, the best way to learn to flirt is to really focus on identifying that vibe and escalate within the sweet spot.

It depends on the vibe, but flirting is usually strong eye contact, light touching on the arm and carrying from there. I typically like to start slow though and build it. If we're in a group, I like to gauge her interest by being aware of what shes looking at if someone tells a joke. Most people look at someone they like when they're laughing.

Teasing, light pushing, play fighting, etc., if you break the touch barrier first and shes/he is into you, she will continue to keep touching you in some way. So there are subtle ways and non subtle ways. You have to know the person to do subtle ways and those are highly contextual.

Humor is always a win. Never miss a chance to make a joke. So there are also two things you need to convey here,

1: that you yourself are a good mate. This is your whole look and hygiene and clothing and makeup etc.

2: that you're directing your attention specifically at them, metaphorically a hey look at me and enjoy it, I want YOUR attention not just attention in general. This also means that you can't flirt with others where they can see it because then your attention loses value, they will just say to themselves, she does that with all the guys so it doesn't mean that she likes me. And peoples ego protection systems kick in and they don't want to take a chance on "getting fooled" so they won't treat your advances as genuine as a way to protect themselves from now anticipated rejection.

You've got to think of this like a process,

Get attention
Build attraction or connection
Get a number or way to communicate privately later.. 4. Build a relationship (this doesn't mean a lifelong thing, it means just talk but make them see enough to want to reconnect in person later.)

Non subtle ways.

But make it known this is for them not just for the general public. Personally I think flirting is about making a connection and indicating that you have a need that ONLY they can fill. This is because you get pleasure from their attention not attention in general.

Use body language to display your best features to them. Bend towards them when they speak to you. Show cleavage. Arch your back, angle yourself at a 3/4 angle so they can see the shape of your lower back and butt. Make them notice your form. Wear clothing that accentuates your best features.

I personally like choker necklaces.

Flirting is foreplay for foreplay. Don't rush through it. Its a whole enjoyable thing by jtself. TAKE YOUR TIME. Slow the pace of your words down. If there's any intensity that you have then allow yourself to feel it while looking at them. Their body will react to your lust (if you have it).
