What is the average male Tinder experience really?

I'm an "average" Male. Nothing fantastic in the looks department but nothing butt ugly about me.

Tinder says I have 99+ matches (probably a scam of some sort although I would be interested to know) and I live in a small-ish town.

I routinely get maybe one or two matches a week. Chances are one of these matches took a really flattering first photo and they're actually pretty overweight.

On the off chance I match with a girl that doesnt have all those caveats, I try to send a witty or funny message and majority of time they dont respond.

In conclusion: Tinder is mostly useless. Its superficial and not a substitute for meeting people in the real world.

4 years ago I used to get at least 6 matches a week, I started a relationship so I stopped using it, now 4 years after I ended the relationship, I get maybe 3 matches a month. Tinder gold did not exist back in the dayt, so i think its something to do with that

Tinder is a scam. I use bumble and so far I got above average girls on bumble. I hate Tinder. Good looking women do not wanna be seen on there cause It's for hookups. It also lowers your value as well if you're on there. I flirt in real life you have less of a chance of being rejected and more of a chance on Tinder to be rejected just by a mear swipe. Honestly, I never knew how to flirt and once I learned about eye contact I started doing it with every girl I found attractive. My success rate was 80/20. The better you get with flirting the more your odds will improve. Random encounters with women will happen more frequently.

I’m decent looking guy. I don’t have many nice photos though and live in a fairly conservative country. I get matches few times a week. Don’t get a reply often but I had like 3 very good dates. A friend of mine also robbed by a scammer so I’m also very cautious of whom I meet. In short it is not terrible but lots of girls use it as ego boost. Don’t reply and whatnot. Might be better if you’re in US/UK.

I'd say the "average male Tinder experience" is extremely dependent on what I'd call the average male self-selling, which I predict to be pretty bad.

I'm a decent looking 22 year old guy however with the physical appearance of 15-16 years because of babyface, skinny etc, meaning I honestly shouldn't get any matches at all. But I do. I get a match about every other day- and yes about half to 60% of them are 19, but the rest are actually my own age or older and their body types vary.

My point is, as been already said, the man-woman ratio is 2:1 probably even 3:1. There's supply-demand dynamics at work and when that's the reality you need to be extraordinary from picture 1 and not just funny/witty messages. Extraordinary doesn't necessarily equal hotness it just means you gotta be creative and innovative from the get go and blow their mind through the phone before you get to do it in bed.

I apologize for the ramble.

Tl;dr Tinder experience depends on creativity as well as hotness aka, just like irl, if you got game you can look like a freaking hobo and still get laid.

Been using Tinder since last November. I have somewhere around 280 matches in total. It really depends on the week but on average I match with about 5-8 girls. Where it gets tricky for me are the conversations. I live in a foreign country and don't speak the language. I'm only getting a response when opening in English in about 1/3 of the cases. Could also be my shitty openers ofc.

In total, I went on just 3 dates but took all of them home with me.

I'm late 30s. Roughly speaking the women fall into these categories:

1) horny dirty 30s women trying to go through as many guys as possible

2) damaged goods / unattractive women looking for a relationship or just attention

3) women assessing lots of possible options

4) new users who are trying it out

5) attention seeking man haters

Only 1s and 4s are worth meeting, it's slim pickings. It's best to use in a new city where you can weed out one or two 1s from the 50 or so matches you get on day 1.

I've gotten matches from time to time but you're better off investing in meeting girls in real life. Girls treat Tinder and other apps as a ego booster and get validation from thirsty guys. Don't expect to go far with matches, turns out they will hardly continue the conversation that lead up to a date, just saying.

thousands of matches with some of the hottest women in the world over the last few years. Don’t use it anymore. In its heyday very easy to get chicks to come out and meet. Now it’s a wasteland of attention whores, scammers, damaged goods, and IG follower seekers. Also now it’s a cash grab and tinder withholds and throttles matches amongst other gimmicks to entice you to spend money. Now In terms of actual functionality, even though I had more success than aabyone I knew sans one dude I used to work with overall it was still a waste of time and if it was a business venture the ROI would be way to low and I would be bankrupted rather quickly. The actual percentage of matches to dates is so low it’s not even worth it especially now that tinder withholds matches. Realistically speaking you need 20-30 matches to convert to an actual meetup. Out of 10 matches. Half won’t reply or respond no matter what because they aren’t there for that (dating and meeting). Out of the remaining 5, 2 may unmatch for whatever arbitrary reasons. Out of the remaining 3, 2 of those convos won’t get past the second message before they fizzle out. Out of the 1 remaining you will get a number and attempt to setup a meet.

Out of every 3 numbers you get 2 will flake before the meetup. So realistically 30 matches to convert to one meetup. Good news is my conversion ratio was about 85% smash rate once I met with them. But the actual percentages are too low to make it a viable strategy. Now as far as the chicks I met. The real smokeshows 8,9s were nearly impossible to get to meet up, reason being no well adjusted female of that caliber is meeting up with strangers from the internet unless she had an agenda or mental issues. (Headaches you don’t need trust me) The ones I actually did meet up with consistently were always a lower tier than what I would easily pull in person in real life and smash.. (that’s if I was fortunate enough to have them look like their pictures or in the rare case better)
So bottom line of you want to spin wheels to have the opportunity to be flaked on by a chick that you Might not even look at twice in public if you saw her in person first then by all means use tinder. The ego boost matching with some of the hottest chicks you have ever seen was cool for a little bit but I would rather go out and interact with them and have opportunity to actually smash and not just boost their ego “wow loook this hot guy matched with me”. Keep in mind I’m above average attractiveness and have my shit together and this was my experience so I can’t imagine what it’s like out there for the average Joe blow Schmoe
