I realise this is petty but I’m just venting before I can move on with my day

I clearly don’t fucking understand how mate selection works. I don’t even know why I bothered trying to understand it. Humans are strange creatures who make emotional impulsive decisions on the basis of no evidence and it trips me the fuck out

Why am I saying this?

Last year I was stood up on a 2nd date. She was beautiful and seemed quite smart and was nice company so it really threw me for a while

I just checked her Instagram and she’s now dating a man who can only be described as a modern Neanderthal. He looks like he’s just wandered out of a cave. Ugly as a sack full of smashed crabs, a long beard, and his profile picture is him with a rifle and a dead animal in the other (it looks like a dog)… and he can’t spell basic words … he’s 14 years older than her… and he has a kid… and he lives in a town almost 2 hours away from here.

I guess it’s a reminder no to take rejection so personally, some people really are looking for someone who is the complete opposite of you.
