When moving away from the app, should you take numbers or give yours?

Title says it. I’ve had an issue where I sometimes would just go a couple weeks without having the time to go on dates, then when I try to restart the conversation and makes plans once my schedule clears, I get hit with “who is this?”, which I feel puts me in a rather unattractive position in the context of that interaction.

It’s hard to be the higher value person, someone who’s a win for her, when she doesn’t remember who you are while you clearly do remember who she is.

So I started giving girls my number telling them to text me. Thought process being that it’ll force them to create a contact for my number, so if we go sometime without talking, they’ll still know who I am. Problem is, many are just too lazy to do so and I get maybe 2 texts for every 3 girls I send my number to after they agree to make plans.

What’s your strategy?
