Because hot ones get hit on constantly. They need to find the 'real men' who aren't intimidated or phased by how they act. Shit tests and the like are a quick way to filter out guys.

Why some women who like you tend to pull you down in front of others?

Here is a weird thing about dating.

Men are attracted to nice, submissive women. So they assume women are the same way, so they act nice and submissive around them. Doesn't work - women don't want submissive.

Women on the other hand, are attracted to dominating, aggressive guys with a "bad boy" streak. So they assume men want the same thing and they act dominating and aggressive when they are around guys they like. Unfortunately, men accept this behavior and act submissive, killing any attraction. On the other hand, if men resisted women's attempts and acted dominating, women would be attracted.

Shit-test and/or attempt to elevate her own status. It can also be that she's objectified guys approaching her and no longer sees them as human beings with feelings as a result of being approached over and over for a long-time. Combine that with the annoyance that can result from being approached by someone imperfect and you can get the put-downs.

am 8 years late but here goes - they want to see if you a beta or an alpha. so basically drama stuff

an alpha draws the line, he sets boundaries and sticks to them, he calls out all the BS he sees and then walks away, if shes pulling you down or calling you names, call her out on it and tell her you dont like it, set that boundary if she doesnt keep to it then the relationship is not meant to be

A Beta simply goes with the flow, he is non-confrontational and only does things she wants. if she called him a name he simply smiles and eats it.

there is a fine line between relationships and its called respect if you and her respect each other there wont be need to pull each other down if yall dont respect each other then this relationship is toxic

if you respect her and she doesnt respect you, boy get the hell out that relationship, shes trying to start a drama and find a way to break up with you, trust me you dont need that kind of drama-rama

if she respects you and you dont respect her, you need to check yourself because not all women are good ones, if you find one that is good, you best keep her by yourside or else someone will
