I was raised that no one eats until everyone is at the table and we do prayer together ;-;

Even if not religious, imo I find it a bit rude to eat before everyone is sat at the table.

I have a HVM but he was a bachelor for soooo long that he just scarfs his food down as soon as I give it to him. But straight after, he jumps up and does the dishes. He's always very thankful of my cooking and compliments me, but he has this urge to get eating over with quickly so that he can go and get other things done. He has mental lists and gets anxious if he hasn't got enough done during the day, like fixing things around the house etc. It's a bit annoying at times but it's also good to have a proactive partner that doesn't leave things up to me to deal with. He used to say if he could take a pill instead of eating then he would. But I like cooking and am pretty good at it, so I have had an influence on him being more interested in food, but he still scarfs and runs.

This makes me think maybe we need a thread to talk about minor issues we have with HVMs and how to best address them. Because nobody is perfect and HVMs still have annoying quirks or habits at times. Sometimes you will still have disagreements as well.
