I've been taking a break from dating for a long time now. I live in a medium sized city in the southern US. Every time I go back on Bumble I see the same guys. I run out of men to swipe on within an hour of reloading the app and get the message that there are no more men in the area that fit my criteria. There don't seem to be many single men in my age range (40-60) in my area and hardly ever any I swipe right on.

I recently went to visit relatives in the NYC area where I grew up. Thought I'd see how things were in that area and came across this gem. Seriously, what are these guys thinking?

I will admit that there were some better looking guys and more well thought out profiles than what I get in the south. There are a lot of pretty terrible ones too. The only difference I noticed was that there was an endless supply of men. Nobody that seemed interesting to me, but plenty of men to keep swiping left on. I never ran out of people in my area or age range (20 mile radius of Manhattan.)

The grass isn't greener, there's just more of it.
