Since 2019, a guy had a crush on me or so according to his words and he cared about me a lot. If I needed anything, I could call him (you can translate what that means). He'd often throw around terms like babe, baby like salt and pepper. Once, he had kissed me without my permission. But in 2019, I was a pick-me with no boundaries and I still felt uncomfortable with all these gestures.

In early 2020, I started therapy and we talked about all these issues in the sessions. I needed to be less empathetic according to my therapist. I needed to be more selfish. I started applying that and made my boundaries clear. I had told him that he needs to stop calling me lovey dovey terms and treating me like his girlfriend since I'm not and if he really is into me, he should pursue in a better way. He had only one thing to say "Are you on your periods?" I didn't know about FDS back then, obviously I got pissed and sent a huge paragraph and I stopped talking. He was apologizing and shit but I wasn't having any of it. I blocked him everywhere except on one platform because I was scared he might do some stalkerish shit.

Now, in late 2020, right on NYE, a message popped up on my screen. "Will you be free? I want to be the first one to wish you happy new year because you stayed with me for so long when no one had." I thought of letting it go but I wanted to confirm my suspicions that he wouldn't call or text. Surprise surprise, 00:02 and nothing came. Blocked that final entrance. It's been almost 8 hours and still silence.

Without FDS, I wouldn't be able to have the courage and confidence to do this because other people would tell me "give him a chance, he might be busy" and other dumb excuses. But FDS taught me if a man shows continued interest in pursuing you, it'll show in his actions and not just words and if it's just words, the man just wants your body. With all these collective knowledge and more, I think I'm ready to be ruthless in 2021.
