Yeah that’s horseshit. This author thinks that all girls just follow in their mother’s footsteps uncritically, simply repeating the same pattern for millennia? No. Not every girl wants to be a mother— hell not every mother wants to be a mother, and many girls want to be a very different mother than their own. Of course girls have to paychologically individuate themselves from their parents— every adolescent does. The only interpretation I can agree with is that girls have womanhood forced upon them whereas boys have the luxury of extending their childhood, sometimes up til death.

I keep seeing this theme- men don’t know how/can’t be men anymore because there are no “rites of passage”.

Like, um, wdym? Getting a drivers license, registering for the draft, graduating high school- are these not rites of passage? Do they need a shaman and a bonfire after three phases of full sun and an owl hoot? What are they even wanting?

What we have here is a feigned attempt at “being insightful instead of blaming women for all of men’s problems”.

Society hates women and we’re not only forced to emotionally develop as normal, but quicker as no one coddles us and we have to navigate abuse early on.

Society, being driven by insecure, hateful men, conversely coddles the fuck out of men and never encourages them to become emotionally developed adults. Rather, they become overgrown, horrible children and get to abuse others freely to satiate their sociopathic needs.
