I think it would be a good idea for Left Wing Male Advocates to visit spaces where there might be misogyny or gender bias against women and talk to the men who make these assumptions. We can bring what I believe is a burgeoning and very much healthy culture to places that may have not heard about the third choice that LWMA offers between MensLib and MensRights.
We have reason and we have empathy. I don't think you could be a LWMA without both of these tools and these tools aren't just for deconstructing feminism.
They can also be tools to build something. They have been tools to build something, throughout world history. Everything we love in our society was built with love and logic.
We should export the LWMA perspective of criticizing feminism (an ideology) without demonizing women (a human) to subs that we might not otherwise go to in order to humanely push back against any demonization or soft hate while reporting any explicit hate to the mods and admins.
Instead of exaggerating what people have said in order to mock and ridicule them (à la AHS), we could be a balancing presence that understands the frustration but still firmly holds the boundary against hate.
It seems like a way for men to support men to me.
I hesitated to post this but we're all on new ground here. Yes, we can - and should - deconstruct feminism, and what's being done in this sub is a healthy rebellion against the social norm, but we have to build something too.
If you want to see what happens when all you do is deconstruct, look at wokeism (i.e., the ideology of mostly white, mostly female coastal urban academics run amok) or the toxic parts of the MRA.
It's just cynicism and bad-faith, all the way down.
I don't want that. I want us to affirm our common humanity and I feel that this sub excels at that. We can build something good and true and able to shelter anybody who needs it because we believe that's the best way to help everyone.
I want to show love, not hate. Since that's what this sub does on the daily, I thought I'd come to you with the idea.
