I’ve been spending far too much time recently sitting around being resentful of societal expectations. I’ve got way too much time on my hands. As the saying goes, “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop”, or something of the sort.

So, I need to pick up some more hobbies, preferably some that would put me in a masculine frame of mind. My two main hobbies currently are working out and playing the piano. I’m a senior in hs so a job is also an option, but I feel it would be caving into my crazy mother’s demands as she’s been constantly bitching about me not having one. I get that I’ll probably want some money in college, but I’m anxious of getting myself into a shitty, inconvenient situation, as all I hear is people complaining about their jobs. Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

Edit: Holy shit some of these ideas are great! Woodworking definitely seems interesting, my dad has a shop in the basement so there’s an option. I do wanna get into cars, even with it probably being a huge investment time-wise. ‘Preciate the suggestions.
