I don't think you understand the context that's implied or even what's 'approved' here; is Mel Brooks a nazi sympathizer due to his jokes surrounding Hitler and the Nazis? Its a joke about the Holocaust and the Nazis sure (I've never seen comedy about them (Nazis/Jews/Holocaust) before.../s) but the subtle 'implication' of the joke is that she (the jew to our German blood ayran man) will provide subservience to the master (and in sexuality, this is hot as fuck), obviously our little Jew got offended at the joke so it kind of disagrees with what the others have said here. I still like the joke and I don't think it provides "approval...about the holocaust" in anyway, simply plays off the themes in the war for flirtations sake. Imperial Germany is generally the time after 1871, the time before it was "called" Holy Roman Empire, but it was neither roman, holy nor an empire.
After the Franco-Prussian war of 1871 (btw. this war started the french surrender meme), the prussian king WAS emperor of Germany, so after it was unified. Yet if you asked the prussian king, being a king of Prussia was much more prestigious than being Emperor of Germany.

What's interesting about that conflict is that it was one of the two main times guerrilla warfare flared up in European wars during the 19th century (the other being Napoleon's invasion of Spain). The francs-tireurs were basically plainclothes marksmen and the Prussians got so frustrated by their officers getting picked off by snipers all the time that they brutally suppressed any village that had the slightest link to them. Similar thing happened when the Germans invaded during WW1 and WW2.
