So, I’ve been very happily divorced almost five years and am paying court ordered child support. I am 100% current on my support payments, despite being fully responsible for my son’s care 50% of the time (I owe his mom her money despite her not having him in her custody any more than I do)

Today when being asked standard closing questions on the sale of some property that is 100% post divorce, I am asked questions regarding my currency on child support payments. They even asked for a letter from the clearing house that I am current. They just want to be sure I’m paying her stipend.

Another example of how the state is set up to support women and another reason to never marry again. It’s a trap!
