It will end with only men being conscripted because this is the option that was used until 2011 and is explicitly stated in the constitution. It is also stated that re-introducing this version of the draft is possible with only a majority in the lower chamber, the Bundestag. A "special year" for all genders would conflict with some European and international law(there are papers from the scientific committee of the Bundestag - "Wissenschaftliche Dienste" - that explicitly state this). And Germany loves to follow European law to the death while other countries often have a more flexible approach to this.

There is also this absolutely weird aspect that has always been present in the German discussions about the draft: Old fat boomers (Male and Female) basically wetting their pants because the conscription will teach "these lazy young ne'er-do-well male Germans some discipline and respect!!". Every German male knows exactly what I am talking about.

Well, it's not even only Boomers. I remember an interview in a German local newspaper when the draft was abolished in 2011 where a young women who never had to think about getting drafted mumbling about how the draft would discipline these young men and that this was a good thing. The audacity was absolutely breathtaking to see. I also remember male simps stating that they enjoy serving because "woman are so disadvantaged and suffer so much during childbirth", so men having to forcefully serve is basically a societal compensation for this. I am not joking.

Even if women are conscripted, they’ll overwhelmingly be in support roles compared to their male counterparts. We all know this.

the Nato vs russia war is extremely unlikely to happen. the Russian tanks, infantry,ordinance ect has been destroyed in ukraine, so without nukes they would get destroyed against the full force of nato
